Raina POV
I could hear every word they were saying. "They can't whisper for shit." I thought to myself. "Come to my room at 3 tonight." I could hear Josiah on the other side saying to his friends. I put my book down and went to go get ready. I particularly like staying in the house. We keep to ourselves. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner is served at our rooms. Unless we step out of line (which is rare) we do okay. At least I thought. Why were they so eager on leaving the house? We get all the sleep we need, the children get a million toys, mother keeps us happy. I started to feel love towards mother. She comforted me in ways no one else could. But why do they want to leave her? I've read alot of books and the outside world dosent seem that grand. However I dont see how I should get involved. Mother will catch them. She always does.
*12 hours later*
They should be meeting each other in Josiah's room by now. I got out of the bed and I put my slippers on. Curiosity got the best of me and I made my way toward Josiah's room. I opened the door thinking ir would be locked and I could go back to my room and back to sleep. Unfortunately, it was unlocked and I heard a breif gasp. I closed the door behind me and I saw a bunch of frightened faces. "Dude, Raina is in your room." Lionel said. "Nah shit, Li." I was just standing there with the most confused face a girl could ever have. "Why are you in here?" Lionel asked. "Why are you trying to leave the house?" I said quietly with my head to the floor. "Welp, were fucked! The gothic nutcase found us out." Lionel said. "Raina come here." Josiah said in a calm voice while he patted the empty space right next to him. "Theres no reason to tell mother about this okay. We'll come back and free everyone after were free." I gazed at him for a moment. "Freedom from what?"
