After seeing the blood and my love on the ground I decided to look further. On his other arm, he had carved in the word mutant and the same on both of his legs. I looked up at his pailing face and saw that tears were still escaping his closed eyes.
"K-Kargles??"
I could barely speak a word, my voice was quivering and I knew that if he wasn't dead now he soon would be.
After a few seconds I heard a moan.
I sprang up and was trying to shake Karkat awake.
"Uhg, Kargles, get up."
I heard sniffiling as I felt two warm spots around my back and towards my chest, he was hugging me.
"Dave look I know what happened between you and John and I get it, I was just so depressed."
"Kargles I'm so sorry why did I do this WHY?"
"D-Dave it's not your fault."
Karkat gasped for air as he said his final words.
"Dave no matter what, I love yo---"
He became stiff, he no longer was breathing his arms loosened their grip around me. I held him close as I hugged him and cried for what seemed like hours.
"Help!"
I was screaming.
"He--lp!"
My voice ran cold and I couldn't speak another word.

The next day

I carried out my love in his favorite turtle neck, jeans, and sweatshirt. I even wrapped him in my lucky cape, I had an extra pair of sunglasses he always liked to wear so I gave him those too. Outside everyone was waiting, Gamzee was Karkat's best friend, and I had never seen him cry so much. Sollux and Nepeta opened up a wooden coffin and safely put Karkat inside. I looked at him one last time, kissed him and whispered under my breath; "I'm sorry."

I walked into the graveyard wearing the blackest clothes Karkat had since I didn't own black. And it felt nice in his clothes. After everyone placed a rose on top of the coffin, Gamzee ran up screaming and crying saying how much he hated the world. I watched the coffin lower into the ground as I sobbed silently. Behind me I heard footsteps and felt someone hug me. It was John, I told him what happened and John thought it was his fault, I reassured him and told him it was mine.

Karkat's POV

Okay so I'm dead now but I can still look around the house, something caught my attention, under the bed, and under Dave's other cape, was a black box. I investigated it more and looked inside, there was a bright silver ring.
