My little fox (A Ciel love story)

Chapter 1

Darkness. That was the only thing she could see.

Cold. That was the only thing she could feel.

The girl shivered and covered herself with a thin, worn out blanket. She was here for four years already. Her clothes were slowly getting even tighter over her body but she didn't have money to buy new ones.

Her long brown hair was messy and dirty and her chocolate brown eyes were puffy because of the girl crying herself to sleep every single night. The girl's name was Nicole Buon. She was the daughter of Tobias Buon and Alexandria Buon, and a sister to Gabriela Buon. All of them were dead now, having drowned after an accident, all except Nicole. She was there when it happened but didn't die. When the carriage started falling she was pushed off by her mom, who was the only one that wanted her alive. You'd think that being the only surviving family member, she'd inherit all the family money. Well, what you couldn't foresee was her not being allowed into her own house by her servants, them believing her to be a witch for surviving the accident. She was thrown out and left to live in the streets. She was 8 when that happened, and now she was 12.

Nicole sighed and turned around in her little 'house' which was made out of old broken desks placed on the street in an imitation of walls and a ceiling. She slowly closed her eyes and drifted into a dreamless sleep.

-Nicole, right?- She heard a deep, demonic voice say. She opened her eyes to see she was in a black room which was covered in...red feathers? She sat up to see a black cat in front of her. The cat smiled and walked closer. Nicole backed away from it and the cat giggled.

-What's wrong? Cat got your tounge?- It asked and Nicole shook her head.

-N-no. How can you talk?- She asked, suprised. The cat giggled again and looked at her playfully.

-I'm a demon. I'm here to try and make a deal with you.- He says and Nicole nods, wanting him to continue.

-The deal is, I will serve you and do everything you want until you fulfill your goal, and when you do, I will take your soul.- He said. Nicole paused, thinking about the stranger's offer.

-What if you try to break the deal?- She asked and he thought about it for a short while.

-Well, I guess I would need to serve under you forever then...- He said calmly and looked at her again. -So, do we have a deal?- He asked.

-Deal.- Nicole answered him. Everything went black.

~The next morning~

-Miss? I think it is time for you to wake up.- A soft voice says. She opened her eyes to see a tall, blonde haired man with redish brown eyes.

-H-huh? Who are you!?- She asked and he smiled.

-I'm the demon from last night, remember? I told you I will obey your every wish, and I fulfilled a few wishes already, you got your mansion back and are now the head of the Buon household.- He said and Nicole's eyes widened.

-That can't be true!- She said and looked around. She was in a fancy bedroom with red walls covered with complicated golden patterns.

-H-how?- She asked and the demon giggled, looking at her suprised face.

-A magician never reveals his secrets.- He answers and Nicole frowned at him.

-Wait, what's your name?- She asked.

-I don't have one, you didn't name me yet.- He said with a smirk. She thought about it for a little bit before grinning happily.

-Daniel Carlo Esterson!- She yelled and he giggled.

-I like it...- He said and walked towards a cart where a beautiful breakfast was served.

-Well, miss, I made you some Earl Gray tea with a company of some fresh cooked scones.- Daniel said calmly and walked over to Nicole, pushing the cart in front of him. She sits up taking the cup of tea and sighed.

-It has been a long time since I last drank this type tea...- She said, remembering the last time she drank it.

*flash back*

A small blonde girl smiled looking at her older sister.

-So, how was it? Have you found a guy you're gonna run away with?- The little blonde girl known as Gabriela said and Nicole blushed.

-Gabriela, when did this come into your mind? I'm only eight...also you're six, why would you care about love!?- Nicole says suprisedly and Gabriela giggled poking her.

-Ouch! What was that for?- She asked and acidentally spilled the Earl Gray tea out of her hands.

-Girls! Come down, we need to leave!- Their mom called them.

*End of flashback*

She stopped thinking about the memory then, not wanting to remember what happened after that moment. She put down the now empty cup back on the cart and looked at Daniel who had a curious look on his face.

-Is something bothering you miss?- He asks quietly and she shook her head.

-It's nothing, now could you help me change my clothes? This dress is too small and dirty...-  She mumbled and he nodded. Daniel looked for another dress in the closet that was right next to the large bed. A few minutes later he pulled out a beautiful dress. It was cream colored with beautiful white decorations on it (the pic).

-I think this is going to look perfect on you, miss.- He said and Nicole looked at it. She smiled.

-Wow, it's really pretty!- She said.

-Just like you, miss.- He said and she blushed.

-S-shut up Daniel...- She said quietly and he nodded.

-If that's what you wish, miss.- He said and started changing the dress Nicole was wearing.

-Hm, but first you will need to take a shower...-he said to himself and she smiled nervously.

-Yeah, I agree with you on that...- She said and got up, now only in her underwear.

-Go prepare a bath for me please.- She said, streching a bit. She walked around to see the room more closely. The floral patterns on the walls amazed her. The curves and the color gold, her favorite color.

-Miss the bath is ready...- She heard Daniel say calmly and she turned around.

-Oh, of course, I'm coming...- She mumbled.
