"Wait, where are you going? Please don't leave me all alone. Mom! Dad! Don't kill my parents!!"
"Kin remember your father and I love you very much. Become our dream and save the world.."

Great. Just freaking great I would have "that" dream again. This is really starting to get old. Waking up from a cold sweat and heart racing a mile a minute I see my wonderful Pikachu clock reads 7:50. Only ten minutes to get ready. Whatever. The names Kin Tatum, and yes I said Kin. For whatever reason my parents wanted to be unique people who gave their daughter the most random name.
Anyways I'm fifteen and I attend East High school in South Carolina. Yay.

I grab my tiny greyish pocket mirror probably from McDonalds that one time as a kid. I look to see that my dark brown hair is at its most tangles. I look lion who had a terrible experience at the salon, but since it goes down to my shoulders I quickly pull it up in a messy bun. I'm at least five foot nine, my skin is a light brown with a few birth marks one shapped like a acorn in the crease of my collarbone. My face full of small darker brown freckles that take up the bridge of my nose to the sides of my cheeks. I look like a dalmatian. A human like dalmatian. Anyways I take my shower and get dress with my favorite faded grey hoodie with the words prankster on the front in bold red words and my comfortable black skinny jeans, blue chucks, grab my bookbag and head out the door.

East High, the most prestigious, well built, emaculant...awe who am I kidding. While most of the staff from the hobo looking janitors, the beef head security guards, and office staff it would seem like the perfect school. That is if the students weren't awful. Who would have thought Satan himself created a school from the pit of hell and somehow got it to the top in the world of the living. His little spawns running around this god forsaken place wreaking havoc. Taking lunch money, bullying and hey on a good day you may get beat up but spared the delicious taste of toilet water.

I mean I don't really have many friends. Only because at a young age I told the other kids I could see these fireflies, but they couldn't see them. Thus I got the nickname "Fairy Tale." The only friend I do have is Paige Hellsing, my only best friend who I love dearly. We became friends our first year of high school. Someone accidently pushed me down the stairs and Paige happened to walk by and saw what happened and took me to the nurse's office, where she stayed with me all day.

First period was just starting and it was 8:20 class started at 8:25 and here I am "Kin the Great" running for dear life to get to class. The apartment I live at is at least 20 minutes away and not having a bike I better be in shape from all this running everyday. The brisk wind of September threatened the Carolinas with possible snow. The cold air filled my lungs with a burst of oxygen. I rammed through the doors heading for the stairs skipping at least two steps. There are teachers standing at the doorways yelling good morning as I screeched back the same greeting. At one point it felt as though my legs were floating. Almost like I was flying. I rounded the corner and there was our first encounter. His hair black and silky, appeared short, I wasn't to sure since it was in this wild Mohawk. His skin a light tan with areas on his neck looked darker probably birthmarks. His eyes were hidden from the bangs of his Mohawk, but his height stood out the most. Towering at what looked like six foot two and he stood there leaning on the wall godly like. Did a guy like that really got to a place like this. We'll besides being a creep and gawking at this guy my true self came out.

Ack!! I shouted, hitting the hard tile floor my books and paper scattered everywhere. Yes I kin Tatum is a clumsy person, I'd trip over my own shadow if I could. At that moment I knew all eyes were on me, my face flushed from embarrassment. Looking up with multiple faces staring at me. Popular, annoying, and ignorant girls giggling along with stuck up jocks calling me a loser, but that guy wasn't laughing at me more so he was snickering. The sly smirk across his face made me even more embarrassed. Well at least he wasn't an asshole. As I gathered my things quickly, I bolted through the crowed of kids.

"Kin. Kin Tatum is she here to-.."
Before Mr. Anderson the history teacher could finish the door burst open and there stood the most influential, smartest, popular girl....I'm just messing with ya.
"Present"
Gasping for some sort of life the class in unison laughed to there hearts content. Grumpy old Mr. Anderson with his oversize belly walked closer to the front row and raised his hand, while glaring at me to take my seat.
To the back of my seat I go back to the window. While Mr. Anderson began his lesson on the Emancipation Proclamation, five minutes later I began to day dream about God knows what. Out the window I can see the huge oak tree. The leaves gracefully falling down in a synchronized dance and I can't help but smile and how beautiful the pale blue sky is. Apparently there's and story about the tree how anything not of this world becomes hypnotized by the tree, I guess some kind of ceremony.

My peaceful thoughts were soon disrupted from a crumpled up piece of paper thrown by Jacob. Just freaking great what does he want. He motioned his hands as if telling me to read the note. I opened the note and read it silently.
" Don't go home alone."
The bold letters in blue ink sent a chill down my spine. I continued to read.
"A group of girls were talking about giving you a hard time, possibly to jump you, but I'm not sure. Please go home with someone and if not here's my number if you need an escort (773)*******."
As I stared at the crumpled paper I look up at Jacob in confusion. Why would he help me? I could've sworn the dude hated me guts. Since it was a nice gesture I whispered "thank you." I mean we hardly spoke to each other. Jacob Aries, is his full name. Your average blonde white guy with bright green eyes, dusty brown hair with messy blonde streaks. Pretty sure he tried to die his own hair. He's about six feet, but not as tall as mystery guy. As I thought about it this is the first time we exchanged notes let alone letters.

Once the bell rang I ran to my second period which was art. This seems familiar, me running down the halls again. This never gets old. Then I see him again, Mr. Mystery standing in front of the art room door. His arms were crossed over his chest, with his long sleeved black crew neck and dark green cargo pants along with his black chucks. He looked rather cool that is until he looked up glaring at with these cold brown eyes looking at  me as if I just stepped on his new kicks. Quickly his expression changed and found himself smirking at me. Damn him, that same flirty smirk from this morning pissed me off royally.
"Um. This is my class could you move please?"
Hope I didn't sound like a jerk. But just as I asked me raised up and walked away. I peered my head around the corner and looked to see who was in the class I knew.
"Kin! Hey Kin"
I know that voice anywhere. It was my best friend Paige, she's from Mississippi, but moved here to live with her grandma.
"Oh my god I have things to tell you"
I told Paige about everything even about the warning Jacob gave me. She seemed unfased by it but she started to question me about the mysterious guy. About ten minutes later Mrs. Integra came in with her back length honey blond her flowing in the imaginary wind. She was a teacher who mostly wore sneakers, jeans, and long sleeve shirts or short sleeves with funny messages on them. Today's shirt was a blue short sleeve with the words "Puberty hit me like a SEMI" Paige and me could not help but snicker.
"Well class how are ya? Good. That's great, anyways I'm gonna let yall have a free period. Draw whatever ya want and I'll give full credit."
The entire class agreed and began to chat and scribble. I decided to draw my favorite anime character and Paige drew a rabbit. Once I got focused on my drawing my phone vibrated. I slowly took out my galaxy s4 and looked to see I had a text from an unknown number. I went to my messages and read the text.
"Hey, it's me Jacob I got your number from Paige lol. Anyways is she's not going home with you I'll take you since we live two blocks from each other. And don't ask how I know. So call me ok?"

Well that was interesting. I looked over to Paige but decided not to say anything about her giving my number to Jacob. I went back in my phone and typed a quick message.
"Thanks alot." Then for some reason I found myself asking a question just out of curiosity.
"If you don't mind me asking, why are you helping me?"
And sent. Now to wait.
