Over the past few years Dan had been to a number of schools. It was that he was kicked out or anything but he moved around a lot places to places, family to family. His parents had died when he was just a baby so he never knew them, he had been in many foster care systems and a number of foster families. Some of them weren't that bad, the current ones were horrible, he just wanted to run away and never look back, but the only thing stopping him was that he liked the area. He made a few good friends and he really liked the school, especially his English teacher, Mr. Lester, or Phil as it was his first name.

Dan had the biggest crush on him for two years ever since he started at the school. He knew it was wrong, he knew that he shouldn't feel this way for a teacher, especially because he was almost 30 and Dan was just 17. For a while Dan had accepted that his teacher would never return the feelings, until last week. He never meant for it to happen but one thing led to another. He had bumped into Phil one night at the park, the two started talking and talking led to kissing and then next thing Dan was in Phil's apartment. It's the look in Phil's eyes that made Dan think that height return the feelings, but since that day Phil had been ignoring Dan, he didn't even show up to school the last three days Dan was not sure if it was because of him or not.

Friday afternoon, Dan had English last period. He noticed that Phil was trying his best not to make eye contact with Dan, even when Dan raised his hand to give him an answer he wouldn't look at him, he would just call out his name but look past him. When the bell rang everyone packed their things except for Dan, he stayed behind he wanted answers. He stood up and walked over to the door locking it so no one will interrupt them. Phil looked at him confused and slightly annoyed.

"What do you want Daniel?" He sighed.

"You have been ignoring me the entire day and you weren't here for the past three days." Dan said walking up to Phil.

"I don't know what you're talking about." He shrugged, "And I wasnt at school for personal reasons."

"You know what I'm talking about. You've been ignoring me Phil."

"That's Mr. Lester to you." Phil shot back.

"You definitely didn't mind me calling you that last weekend, you didn't mind anything when I was in your bed." Dan reminded him, "Are you just going to act like that never happened?"

"A matter of fact that's exactly what I'm going to do. You're my student Dan, I'm your teacher that wasn't appropriate."

"So you're saying you didn't enjoy that one bit?" Dan asked raising his eyebrow.

"That's not appropriate either Daniel." He said strictly.

"You didn't find it inappropriate when you were in bed with me moaning my name." Dan smirked moving closer to Phil, he moved back and gripped the table.

"Daniel, stop that." He hissed, he tried keeping cool but Dan reminding him of that night and him standing so close was not helping. "We can't do this okay, we shouldn't have done it in the first place I don't know what got into me."

"You wanted it Phil, and I think you do have feelings for me but you're just scared to admit it." Dan whispered putting his arms around Phil's neck, their foreheads touched and their lips were barely touching.

"It's not right, we can get into trouble.." Phil said, his heart started racing he felt his cheeks turn pink, he found it hard to resist this boy.

"No one has to know.." Dan whispered, he leaned in and kissed Phil softly just to see the reaction he would get out him. To see if he really did want this.

"Fuck it." Phil muttered grabbing Dan's face and then kissed him more passionately. Dan stood on his toes pulling Phil closer to him kissing him back hungrily. He could feel Phil smile between kisses only making him smile. The pulled away but their foreheads remained against each others. "If we are going to do this, then no one can know Dan. We can get in serious trouble, I can get arrested."

"The only friend I would trust is Adalyn, she wouldn't tell a soul." Dan assured him and Phil nodded.

"This is so wrong, but you're so worth it." He said brushing Dan's hair back with his finger, "Just one more thing, I need to show you why I wasn't at school the last three days. You remember where my apartment is right?"

"Yeah I do." Dan nodded, "I'll leave first so it doesn't seem suspicious and meet you there?"

Phil nodded, he leaned in and kissed Dan once more before he left, he just couldn't help it anymore, it was wrong, it was really wrong but it felt so right. Dan smiled and left the room, Phil sat at his desk and cleaning it up a bit and grabbing the papers he needed to grade over the weekend but before leaving.

"Ah Mr. Lester, can I speak to you?" The principal, Mr. Hunt, asked. Phil looked at him and nodded. "I just couldn't help but notice that Daniel Howell left your class a little late, why is that?"

"Oh, I was just helping him out with something." Phil said quickly.

"I thought he was above in all his classes?" He asked.

"He is, he's a really smart student." Phil nodded, "But sometimes even the brightest students need help you know."

"Well its great that you've been helping him." He smiled, "From what I've heard he's a troubled boy with a troubled past he has been to many schools."

"Everyone has a story Mr. Hunt, now if you'll excuse me I should be getting home." Phil smiled politely. He had heard stories about Dan in the teachers lounge, he had already heard about Dan changing schools and cities a lot. In Phil's eyes Dan wasn't a bad person at all, he knew there was something much bigger to his story than him just being troubled. But he wanted to respect Dan and would wait for him to tell him himself rather than trying to force it out of him.

When Phil arrived to his building Dan was already standing in the lobby waiting for him. He signaled Dan to follow him up the stairs which he did to his apartment. Phil unlocked the door and Dan was a little confused when he saw a girl with brown hair that was tied into a bun sitting in his couch.

"Hey, how was she?" Phil asked the woman.

"She was a little fussy but that's understandable." She smiled getting up and grabbing her purse. Phil pulled out his wallet and handed her a few bills.

"Thank you, I really appreciate it." He smiled, the girl nodded and smiled at Dan not questioning who he was and left closing the door behind her.

"What was that about?" Dan asked confused.

"You'll see." Phil said grabbing Dan's hand and pulling him into a room that wasn't Phil's. Phil turned the light on and in the room was a crib, with a sleeping newborn.

"Is she yours?" Dan asked looking at the baby surprised. "Are you?"

"Married? No." Phil said finishing Dan's sentence, "I just wanted a baby so bad so I got a surrogate. She's three days old, That's why I wasn't at work. I know you're suppose to take a longer break but as a single father I need to be able to provide for my daughter. Her name is Emily."

"She's so cute." Dan smiled.

Emily woke up and looked up at the two confused. Phil smiled and picked her up rocking her gently.

"Hello there." He cooed, "Did you miss me princess."

Dan smiled at Phil, impressed by how good he was at this. It took a while for him to put Emily back to sleep. Phil carefully put her down in her crib and turned the baby monitor on and led Dan to his room.

"I just wanted to show you all this if we are going to be together." Phil said sitting on the bed, "I don't want this to be too much for you."

"Phil, I still like you and I want to be with you. I think it's great you seem to be a great Dad." Dan smiled. He leaned in and kissed Phil who instantly kissed back. He gently laid Dan down onto his bed getting on top of him.

"This is so..wrong.. But... I can't help it with you.." Phil whispered between kisses. Dan put his arms around Phil's neck and his legs around his waist pulling him closer to him. Phil kissed along his neck earning a small moan from Dan's lips. "You're so worth going against the rules for."

"It'll be fine..no has to know until I turn 18..it'll be fine." Dan whispered moaning quietly. He didn't care anymore, neither did Phil, they were going to make it work somehow.
