"Nadia is-" chandler was cut off by the fire alarms in the mall.
"FIRE!" One of the shoppers in the mall called out.
All of us ran outside of the mall. As we ran I could see the the flames and smoke rising.
As I looked back you could see people running into other stores collecting items and running out of the stores without paying. Stealing, really? There's a fire and this building is about to be burned down and instead of trying to get out of here people are stealing.
Ounce we got out the doors the mall was almost burnt to the ground.
"How did this happen?" Mingus asked.
"I don't know." I breathed watching the firefighters arrive and extinguish the fire.
I saw them pulling bodies out of the mall. Lifeless, cold, dead bodies.
Ally came running over to me crying.
"She's gone. The fire got her and she burned. I tried to save her," she showed me some really bad burns on her right hand and on her ankles, "but I was just too late. It was growing to fast."
I had no Idea of what she was talking about.
"What do you mean?" I whispered in her ear while she gave me a hug.
She let go of the hug and pointed towards the mall.
It took me a second to realize it, but I saw a firefighter dragging Ashley out of the mall. I could feel my knees getting weak, spots were all that I could see, and Ashley, one of my best friends, was dead. I felt like I was gonna pass out.
Chandler held me tight as I started to cry in his chest.
"Where is Ryan?" I said in a weak voice.
"Right here." Ryan peaked out from behind chandler.
"I want to go back to the room." I demanded.
"Ok." Ryan said.
We all took a taxi back to the hotel room. Chandler and Mingus decided that it would be best if they stayed the night.
Ounce we got in the room I sat on the bed, warm tears dripping down my cheek.
"Chandler who's Nadia."
Chandler's face looked as if he was going to throw up.
How bad could this be?
Chandler took a deep breath and said something I could never forget. Something I couldn't fix. I died inside once I heard him say these words.
I hung my head back and cried even harder after he said, "she's my daughter."
