Lexton and I got inside the gym and decided to sleep in there.
"Ever wander if our parents are worried about us?" I asked him.
"Of course! We've been gone since yesterday!" Lexton told me.
"Hey, kids!!" A voice yelled.
Lexton and I glanced at each other with wide eyed expressions.
"The police!" I whispered loudly but soft enough that the police won't hear.
Lexton grabbed my hand and took me to the storage room in the gym. He and I stayed in there while the police kept on calling for us.
"Hey, kids! Where are you!?" The policeman yelled.
Lexton and I didn't say a word. We just sat there and listened to the police yelling for us. They want to arrest us!
Their walkie talkies muffled and I couldn't understand what it was saying.
"10-4. We are leaving without the kids because there's no sign of them." A police man said.
Footsteps walked past us and out of the gym. Lexton and I waited for a couple of minutes before we get out of the storage room. When everything was still and quiet, we got out of there.
"Why were the police looking for us?" I asked.
"I don't know. Somebody sent them after us. And I think I know who." Lexton said and walked toward the gym door.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"I'm gonna have a little chat with Liam and Carl."
"How do you know it's them?" I asked.
"They hate us so they're gonna get us into trouble."
Lexton walked out with me falling behind. Lexton busted the library door open and glared at Liam and Clark. "You sent the police on us!!!"
"What?!" Liam asked in rage and confusion.
"Don't 'what' me!! You know what!! The police tried to search for Madrid and I in the gym because of you two!!"
"I didn't call anybody, you idiot!!!" Liam argued back and pushed Lexton. Lexton pushed Liam back. Then it became a fist fight.
"Stop!!!!" I yelled at both of them, but they kept on fighting. Lexton was on top of Liam, punching him over and over again. I pulled Lexton off of Liam.
"Lexton!" I exclaimed as he glanced at me. "Please stop." My voice lowered.
"Touch me again, and I'll probably kill you!!" Liam yelled at Lexton.
Lexton jerked his head at Liam glaring. I turned his head gently back to me.
"Please." I pleaded.
Lexton got up. "Ok"
I smiled.
"But that still doesn't change the fact that you called the police, Liam!!" Lexton yelled as he walked away with me. Liam glared at us as we exit the library.
Lexton and I arrived back at the gym, and Lexton wouldn't stop mumbling to himself.
"Lexton, it's ok. The police is gone now." I said.
"They called the police, I know they did!!" Lexton yelled at me.
I backed away a little ways away from him. Lexton saw my reaction and took a deep breath.
"Look, I'm sorry I yelled at you, but I think that's what Laim and Carl did." Lexton told me.
I remained speechless.
Lexton walked up to me an inch away from me. "Hey. I'm sorry." He said.
He gave me a hug. My eyes widen with shock, and I hugged him back. We let go of each other.
We stood a couple of inches apart.
"I'm getting sleepy. Let's go to sleep." I told him, smiling at him. He agreed and we both sleep on the risers. I slept on the bottom part while Lexton slept on the top part.
This is so uncomfortable. I believe Lexton was uncomfortable too. A thunder boomed loud. I gasped.
"You ok?" Lexton asked.
I glanced up at him. "Yeah. Perfectly fine." I responded.
Another loud bang sounded as I jumped a little. Oh man. I'm afraid of storms.
"Come here." Lexton told me.
I walked up the risers and got to him. He sat up and held his arm out.
"It's ok." He told me.
I sat beside him and laid my head on his shoulder with his arm around me.
"It's nothing but a storm. It'll past by." He told me.
"This is embarrassing." I said.
"Why?"
"I'm afraid of storms."
"It's nothing to be ashamed of." Lexton told me.
He laid his head onto mine. All of the sudden, we both fell asleep.
