No one knows the real me. The real me loves to play cello, sing and art, and has wavy blond hair, blue eyes. But this new me is a brunette, with dark chocolate eyes, thanks to contacts, and had to say good-bye to cello and singing and say hello to putting more passion into art. The new me has to be some art geek or whatever. But I don't like it when I have to change. But it's for the better. As I walk through the halls of what we poor students call h*ll, I keep my eyes glued to my paper and read my class' and what not I feel eyes glancing at me. My class order is pretty easy... Except the fact I have no idea where the heck any of the rooms are. When I get all my stuff out away in my locker, I look through everything really quick as I make my way through the halls.
1.) History
2.) Math
3.) Science
4.) Orchestra
Lunch
5.) Language Arts
6.) Art
7.) Study HallAlexia Hill was printed on the bottom of the page. At least I got to pick a pretty name.
I skim the locker numbers to find my locker number. 582. Well, I'm on 576, 577, 578, 579, 580... 582. I turn in my new locker number and got it wrong. I'm still used to the other one. Ok, let's see... 6...36...76. Clink. Second try and it's open. I fill my books in but I keep my binder, lap top and a book. Yeah. This school lets you use lap tops for school work and what not. Pretty cool. When I close my door I see a guy with bright blond hair and brown eyes wearing a tight black sweater. "Hi." He says. "Hi." I say back. "Do you know where room 428 for history is? My names, Alexia I'm new." I said. He seemed to be friendly. "Yeah. That's actually first my class too with a few of my friends, and girlfriend. I'll take you and you can meet them. And my names Matt." He offered. Wow. A little nicer then expected. "Thanks."
At history, he toke my to a round table with six chairs and four teens sitting there. "Hey, Matt," said a boy with brown hair and chocolate brown eyes. "Who's your friend?" He said. "Guys, this is, Alexia. She's new here. Alexia, this is, Finn, Tris, Aidan and Cory. Tris is my girlfriend, by the way." He said. I toke a seat next to Finn, with Matt on my left with Tris next to him. Tris has long brown hair and piercing blue eyes, Cory has shoulder length blond hair that's curled to her shoulders. Finn was the one who asked about me, and Aidan has dirty blond hair that spikes up and forest green eyes.
"So what's your next class after this one?" Asked Cory. Her smile went perfectly with her kind eyes. "Mental abuse to humans." I answered. "Hey! That's what, Aidan calls math!" Said Finn. I looked over to see Aidan was just reading a book, ignoring everyone. I peeked over and saw he was reading "Unhooking the moon". Huh. That's one of my favorite books. "It's also his next period." Added Tris.
"I'll take you." He huffed. "You don't have to if you don't want to-"
"You'll just get lost." He interrupted.
"Ok then..." I shrugged."He's like this most of the time." Said Matt. I nodded. I could tell this teacher is all about team work. You can tell how the room is set up. Tables instead of desks, inspirational quotes on posters, a smart board that has a price of paper covering up the word "smart" and replaced with the paper saying "dumb" that way it says "Dumb board." And their also a reader. Large book selfs, a nook on the desk, it's pretty obvious.
The late bell rings and the history teacher comes in. She's a little too skinny for my taste, and golden hair that it must be dyed.
"Good morning, class." She said as she toke a seat at her desk that's right I front of the class. "Good morning, Mrs. Claris." Said the class. "Ok. So we have a new student... Alexia Hill. Alexia, tell us a bit about yourself, please?" Said Mrs. Claris. I stood up and faces towards her. "Uh... My name is, Alexia Hill, I moved here from, Louisiana with my mom and my dad works in the army so we move around sometimes. And I play the cello and I enjoy art." I say. I quickly sit down and look down. I hate attention. "Thank you, Alexia. Now everyone go to the school website and go to the new text book chapter I made last week. Finn, could you please show, Alexia how to get on?" She said. Finn nodded as I toke out my lap top.
Nice teachers, nice students, lap tops, far away from my abusive father who's not in the army but is looking for me and my mother, yeah I like it here. I'm going to try to stay here without drawing attention to myself.
But I can't get too close to anyone. And the bigger bummer is I can't have a boyfriend because our whole relationship would be nothing by lies. But friends on the other hand? I can't let them know anything or I will have to move again.
But I have to act like none of that is real. I have to make people believe that I'm Alexia Hill. No one else. Just her.
