My sister and I were very close.Our parent's divorce brought us closer than ever.When our parents would start fighting,I would take her into my room and hold her close.Our parents tried to hide it from us for a while,but we knew with all the fighting and our dad sleeping on the couch that our parents marriage wasn't going well.
Callie was the one who came home and saw a moving truck pulling away.She ran inside and our mom was sitting at the kitchen table crying "Oh,Callie um when your sister Marianna comes home we need to discuss something's." She was whipping the tears away from her face.When I walked through the front door and saw the look on my mom and Callie's faces I knew something wasn't right.
Our mom told us that dad was moving out and he wasn't coming back.She also said that they were getting a divorce,Callie and I looked at each other and started to cry. "Why are you guys doing this?This is going to tear our family right down the middle" she sighed "Well you know we have been through a rough patch lately and You guys know I tried to work things out even after he cheated on me.but with all the fighting we have been doing,we think this is the best thing to do." I was stunned she never said anything about dad ever cheating on her. "Why didn't he stay to say bye or why didn't you tell us that dad had cheated on you?" She sighed and right as she was about to say something Callie jumped in "You know why Marianna it's because she didn't want our feelings to get hurt, well guess what mom you guys hurt us twice as much by not telling us this was going on and the fact that you guys decided to get divored." I sighed "Callie please I am sure mom didn't want this to happen to this family but sometimes things happen that we can not controll so stop yelling and sit down." She sighed angrily and left the room,slamming her bedroom door behind her. "Mom Why didn't dad stay to say bye to Callie and I?" "Marianna,I don't know why but maybe it was because he didn't want to hurt you or to see you guys like this I mean I don't like seeing you guys like this.I couldn't even tell you guys about the cheating thing because I know how hurt and upset you guys would be." I nodded and sighed "I'm going to try and talk to Callie,see if maybe she will try and understand." I went to her room and opened the door "Callie,Are you O.K?" She shook her head no "Marianna why do they have to do this and please don't tell me oh somethings just don't work out the way we want them to." I sighed and toke a seat on the bed. "If I knew I would tell you but unfortunatly I don't know,But I might know someone who does."
