Sleep.

The thing you craved the most these last couple of weeks, aside from having Harry home at a decent hour. For the past three weeks, he's been coming home, reeking of alcohol and sweat, almost as if he bathed in it. You've been staying up every night waiting for him and his big, strong arms to ascend through the front door and envelop you in his warmth, like he usually does when he comes home from work. But ever since he's been going out every night, that hasn't happend.

Not once.

You found it odd that he all of a sudden started going out and getting smashed. Drinking heavily was never like him. He didn't like the feeling of being drunk and not being able to function at a decent level. Now, he's been doing just that every night.

Finally, at what you assumed was around four in the morning -you hadn't bothered to check the clock- your beautiful boy with the luscious chocolate curls stumbled through the front door, yanking his keys out of it in the process. He then tossed his keys into the pot on the table that's by the door and slammed it shut. As he stumbled through the entrance way, he studied his feet, focusing on maintaining an untangled web of legs. He lazily laid his hand on the wall for support as he walked. As he looked around in observation (you assumed to make sure he was in the right house) his eyes landed on you. Suddenly, his face went from a relaxed look to one of frustration, it seemed like.

"Don't start with me tonight," he sternly stated. "I have a headache and you bitching at me is not going to make it any better."

By this time, your brows were furrowed, as were his. You both had similar expressions, but for different reasons. He was irritated at you for a reason that remained unknown and you were hurt and confused at where his sudden anger towards you came from.

"What are you talking about?"

He then rolled his head back and lightly stomped his foot in frustration, "Oh, you know exactly what I'm talking about. You always sit around, moping for me to come home, then chew me out as soon as I step foot in the house. It's ridiculous," he explained. "You always complain about me not being here and how I don't pay attention to you. But guess what, Y/N? Not everything is about you. So stop PMSing for five minutes and quit being so needy."

By this time, you were the one who was furious. You clenched your teeth to keep from screaming at him and squinted your eyes to keep from letting out tears of frustration.

"Well, sorry that I care about you and communication in this relationship. Sorry for showing you that I love you. I guess it's hard to understand that, considering this relationship has been a one-way street for the past three weeks," you yelled. "I guess I expected too much out of you. After all, you are the one that has trouble committing to one woman at a time."

You knew that what you just said was going to dig deep under his skin. He knew that you knew just how to get to him. But, just moments before, he had done the same thing to you. He knew how to get under your skin by calling you needy. He knew that you like to be affectionate, but are afraid of being too overbearing sometimes. He always reassured you that he loved when you showed him you loved him. It showed him you care. But tonight, he just threw that out the window.

"Don't EVER say anything like that to me. You know how I feel in this relationship. Just shut the hell up and stop being such an annoying little bitch," he spat.

You froze.

You didn't know what to do except get out and get out quick.

You then ran up the stairs to keep yourself from gushing tears infront of him. You slammed your bedroom door and flopped on the bed. As you snuggled up to your pillow, you thought about what had been said tonight. You both said things that you knew would get under each others skin. You both created cuts so deep into each other, attacked your biggest insecurities, you didn't know if tonight was anything you could heal from.

You had finally had it. You couldn't take it anymore, trying to fix your relationship and keep it from shattering into oblivion.

But everyone knows that once something is shattered it will never be fixed as it was before.
