As we walked through the big glass doors leading to the mall food court we were immediately attacked by what I like to call "the samplers." The samplers are those annoying people who work for the food places in the mall, but aren't quite good enough employees to be behind the register or even prepare the food. No, the samplers are instructed to stand in front of their place of employment and "hunt down" potential costumers, practically shoving their chicken chunks and other bite sized meats down their throat. It's total BS if you ask me. They never know when to ease up. They think "no thank you" means "actually I really want one but I'm going to wait for them to beg me even more to try their delicious samples. I'll play hard to get." It makes me sick. Dylan, on the other hand, can't get enough of the samples. I specifically remember one time last summer that we were here, Dylan got a sample from every single food place, but that wasn't enough for him, no. He proceeded to buy a beanie from hot topic, leave out of a different door, just to go back through the food court entrance and pretend he was a different person just entering the mall. Sometimes I can't believe him.

"Would you like some spicy grilled chi-," a young Asian girl didn't even get the rest out of her mouth when Dylan interrupted her. "Don't mind if I do." He said scarfing down the tiny piece of chicken and tossing the little plastic cup in the trash.

"Oh god." Lexi snickered.

"So what do you guys want to do?" I asked.

"I still really want to go prom dress shopping!" Lexi exclaimed.

"Well, that sounds stupid." Dylan taunted.

"Nobody asked you." Lexi snarled.

"Um, actually I believe she asked both of us." Dylan corrected her.

"Guys chill," I laughed, "fine Dyl! What would you like to do?"

"I kinda wanna go to the arcade..." He explained.

"Fine, let's compromise, we will go to the arcade with you, if you go prom dress shopping with us." I told him.

"Yeah!" Lex agreed.

"Okay.. I guess so.." Dylan whined.

"Alright it's settled then." I said.

"But we have to go to the little boutique down on the second floor by the big fountain to dress shop! They have the cutest dresses." Lexi said.

In all seriousness I'm still not sure if I want to go to prom. I mean;

1. I don't like dancing.

2. I don't like dressing up.

3. I hate pretty much everyone that will be there.

And 4. I don't want to be alone the entire freaking night.

And that's honestly the biggest reason. I have autophobia, a fear of being alone or abandoned. It get's really bad. I cannot be physically alone. Someone has to be there at all times with me unless I'm preoccupied by something else. Lexi is a dancer, she will ditch me to go dance with Ryan on the dance floor. I just know it. So if I decide to go,I need a date.

We walked into the little boutique and were surrounded by colors, bright reds, pinks, blues, purples, and greens.

I had honestly only noticed because Dyl had made a remark, "I feel like the trix rabbit puked all over this place."

It made me giggle.

Lexi rushed to the rack against the wall to the left just taking everything in. She picked up a light pink strapless dress and held it against herself as she looked in the mirror.
