Cinderpelt's P.O.V
I looks at Firestar in fear and shock. 'What's happening?!' I mentally cry. Firestar stays frozen he looks between me and Sandstrom, who I identified by scent. I feel tears start to brim.
"F-Firestar?" I whimper. Sandstorm growls, lowly, before pressing her claws harder to my throat. I softly hiss as I feel the sting of her claws. Firestar's ears flattens and he looks me deep in the eyes.
"Cinderpelt, you were right I do only love Sandstorm. I only felt oblige because of ours kits." He says, coldly. I feel my heart snap in two. I close my eyes as the tears start streaming. My ears flattens and a soft sob slips past my lips. I open my eyes and feel all emotion drain. I look in his eyes and see pain, grief, sadness and rage. I push Sandstorm off me. She snarls and goes to Firestar's side.
"Then leave. Take your clan with you" I whisper, softly. I hear shuffling and two bodies walk past me. Firestar looks back. I immediately notice that his eyes hold deep sadness. 'I'm sorry' He mouths, ears drooping. I look away not being able to look at him.
Firestar's P.O.V
I drop my head as I give the call. The cats gather with confusion and hate in their eyes. They all glare at the she-cat that was rubbing against me and purring. I mentally cringe as some of the glares are shot at me. Cinderpelt goes back in the den.
"I have come to announce that Thunderclan and this clan will separate" I say. The cats were silent, before looking at me with shocked eyes, then the loud exclaims are yell at us. My ears flattens and I look at my kits their eyes hold betrayal and they race to Cinderpelt's den. I raise my paw.
"I have seen an error in this merging and have no choice but to break up" I lie. They all quiet and nod. "You may say your goodbyes then we will depart" I say. They reluctantly nods. I drop my head and glare at Sandstorm as they start saying goodbye. "Are you happy now?" I hiss at her. She gives me a happy smile and nods. I slump and fight back the tears as I see Cinderplet come out, head raised and our kits flanking her. She walks into the mass and says her goodbyes.
No one's P.O.V
"Cinderpelt come with us please" Thornclaw begs. Cinderpelt gives him a sad smile before nuzzling him. He looks at her, saddened.
"Thornclaw!" A voice cries. A blur of red launches at him. Thornclaw grunts and looks down at the kit that had launched herself on his chest. Rosekit whimpers and whines. She buries herself in his chest. Thornclaw lays down and curls around her. "You won't leave right?" She whimpers out. Thornclaw looks at her before looking at his sister.
"No, I'm staying" He states, firmly. Rosekit nods and presses to him. Cinderpelt smiles tenderly at him. Another cry was heard. A few tails lengths away a Quietkit was laying with Rainwhisker. He was telling her he was staying as well. Firestar slips in and the mass separates like he had the case of greencough. His tail and ears droop. Sandstorm presses to him as he walks through. He walks out the entrance and he glances back catching Cinderpelt's eyes. He pushes all his emotions in them. Cinderpelt does the same and gives a soft sad smile. He returns it before walking out.
"Thunderclan let's go!" He shouts. The cat's separate and race after their leaders. The few that were staying stayed and lays with their new friends or potential mates. Flameclaw was being held back by Scarlett. Thornclaw was rhythmically licking Rosekit's head, Rainwhisker was softly purring at Quietkit, and Cinderpelt was slowly placing the clan back to their duties. One thing on all their minds. 'What just happened...?'
