And Forget the World. . .?

RING-RING-RING

Katie jolted up out of bed and unplugged her alarm clock. She pulled off her clothes, slid on a strapless, and shorts. She put up her hair in a sloppy bun, that Leo seems to adore. Katie let her bangs fall into her face as she pulled a long, peach-colored dress and a shaw over it. She dropped her feet into high-top converse that were hidden by her dress, and she pulled on white gloves, then ran out of her door. "Mom, I'm late. Bad late. Don't worry about picking me up tonight, Leo's got me."
"Be careful, love you."
"Yeah," Katie bolted out the door and to the driveway, where Leo was sitting waiting in his Dodge Charger. In a black and peach tux.
Leo helped Katie climb into the car, then he smiled. "You're beautiful." He gave her a kiss and drove out of the driveway to bring the two to lunch, movies, then the dance in the evening.

We'll do it all
Everything
On our own

We don't need
Anything
Or anyone

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

"Anytime," Katie whispered into Leo's ear. She smiled a little and kissed his cheek.

"Ditto." Leo laughed.

Katie swayed quietly along with Leo at the dance, her dress flowing gently beside her, following her movements. Her nose was against his neck. Her eyes closed, and she slowly melted into the beautiful melody of 'Chasing Cars'.

Leo did the same and let her relax in his embrace, having to hold up a small amount of her weight. "I love you, Katie."

"I love you too, Leo. Always and Forever," she said. Katie was picked up off her feet, and she let Leo carry her over to a booth at the cafeteria. He sat down, setting her next to him gently. She leaned against him and, holding his strong hand, began to fall asleep.

Leo slowly stepped into the basement of Katie's house. He looked down the stairs. Along the stairs were small objects from their past. Such as York mint paddies, sweet tea, Wint-o-green mints, a panda and monkey stuffed animal, and other assortments. As he continued down, he looked at the photos on the walls. Then down to Katie, who walked ahead of him, a smile evident on both of their faces. "Dammit, Katie, why have you got to be so perfect?"

When Leo got to the bottom, Katie turned to him with a broad smile and dropped to one knee. She pulled out a small box from her pocket of her sweatshirt (correction: his sweatshirt) and she looked up to him, opening the box like a ring box. Inside were two adorable black, silver-plated rings saying 'I love you' and 'I know'. "Leo Robertson, will you marry me?" There was a certain, perfect shine in her eyes that made butterflies flutter around in his stomach.

Note: Will continue tomorrow. It's 9:25, been a hard day. Love you guys. <3
