Journal Entry:
I was sitting in the mess hall yesterday, and some strange guy came up to me. He thought I was some girl named Avery. I told him I wasn't but he insisted that I was and that he"got the book". I do not know who he is or who Avery is but apparently we look exactly alike...
I had been in writing in it everyday since I got here, not because I wanted to. I opened the drawer of the desk and put it by my pencil. Then I laid down on my bed. Wait, what was that digging into my side? I got up and lifted the mattress. There was a slit, I reached in and moved my fingers around until I felt the smooth cover of a notebook. I pulled it out and turned it over in my hands. It was bright blue and said Avery Farren in a curly script across the cover.
Wait, Avery Farren.... Farren is my last name.. I thought for a moment about turning it into Doctor Maslin, but decided against it. I opened the notebook and looked at the cursive scrawled across the pages. I began to read it aloud,
" This place is insane, I have confessed to the murders a million times, but, these people just won't have it! You would think that when someone hands the police a full-fledged confession on a silver platter, they would accept it! They are telling me that some other girl might have done it. When the Doctor got up to go get a drink I got a peek of a name hanging out of the top of the folder. Perry Farren. Farren, my last name! We must be cousins or something. But, Lane told me yesterday that there's some girl here that looks literally exactly like me who said her name is Perry. They must be holding her here too. I am going to find this girl."
I gasped and threw down the notebook. How did this even get here!This girl was coming for me and I needed to find where she was. I needed to find Lane, but who was Lane? A lightbulb came on in my mind. THE STRANGE GUY! I ran out the door to find him, but I was stopped by a nurse walking down the hallway.
"It is past free time Ms. Farren." she ushered me back into my room and locked the door.
I was going to figure this out.
