Have you ever felt butterflies in your stomach? I have, and I am. Just times ten, it felt more like reindeer in my stomach. As I saw Aiden standing there ,slightly crouched so he could fit in the slightly covered opening in front of the door, my breath caught in my throat and I embarrassingly started coughing like crazy turning his attention to me and when I stopped coughing I felt a smirk come onto my face as his eyes widened. I shamelessly looked him up and down and I felt his eyes do the same but he had a dark blush on his cheeks and I was a but disappointed that I didn't know whether it was because he just checked me out in front of my dad or because of the cold. He was perfectly dressed. He was wearing a pair of dark blue jeans and a white shirt with a blazer on top with those fancy patches on the elbows. I noticed he tried looking better for the dinner while still being comfortable and I couldn't help the smile that came into my face as I noticed  he looked a bit like a professor. My dad coughed bringing us into a very awkward situation. My father was still holding his gun and I couldn't help but shiver slightly and I looked back at Aiden to try and calm him but an awestruck look was in his eyes.
-"Is that a gun from the human world? I've always wanted to see one! This is great! I heard they don't work here because of the humidity in the air that damages the powder and its shooting system!" He exclaimed and I couldn't help laughing at my dads disappointed yet amused expression as he realized he couldn't threaten an army soldier who knew that the weapon didn't work. My father turned to glare playfully at me before glancing at Aiden again. He sighed and handed him the gun.
-"Nothing gets past you does it my boy? Here, I no longer need it and I know that you soldiers have all your crazy rescue missions in the human world so go ahead you can have it." He told Aiden and I felt a weight come off my shoulders as I realized this evening was going to go perfectly well. An imposing cough came from behind Aiden and suddenly Chase was pushing my boyfriend aside and strutting in. He had dressed up nicely too and I felt a blush color my cheeks at what he said next.
-"You guys always seem to forget I exist even though we all know I'm much better looking and much more talented than Aiden. Well, Autumn since Aiden has been more interested by a 20th century gun for now I will be the first to tell you you look fabulous, almost as well as me. And Hailey you..." As he turned towards Hailey his words got caught in his throat as his eyes widened and he shamelessly checked her out.
-"Hi Chase" squeaked Hailey, always the inconspicuous one. I nudged her hard and she coughed and started over "You look very handsome tonight." She said more confidently and a blush covered Chase's cheeks and both my father and Aiden started guffawing at Chases red tomato colored face.
-"What in heavens name is taking so long? Close the damn door before it gets freezing cold in here!" Yelled my mother before appearing around the corner. "Well kids you do know how to clean up well, I thought I would never see all of you clean and without mud on your training clothes. Except you Autumn dear, you were always a clean freak." She said teasingly and it was my turn to blush as everybody laughed.
-"MOM, is dinner ready?" I asked to divert the current idiots of their train of thought.
-"Why yes, that is why I came. Aiden dear do put that gun away no weapons at the table." My mom then swiftly proceeded to go finish setting up in the dining room. My father started leading the way and Chase took the opportunity to hold out his arm for Hailey. She graciously accepted and they followed my father. I took hold of Aiden's hand before he could follow suit and pulled him towards me. I pressed my lips to his and then whispered in his ear.
-"You look absolutely scrumptious in that outfit. Let's go have dinner before we get in trouble." I then pulled away and swayed my hips as I walked to the dining room. I heard him moan behind me and I felt his gaze making holes in my butt. I wiggled it a little before turning the corner and when I heard him groan I laughed. This night was going to be fun.

My mom had made a combination of everybody's favorite foods and I couldn't wait to dig in. The only problem was the obvious tension in the air. Chase and Hailey were taking turns glancing at each other from the corners of their eyes but didn't look up from their plates. Aiden had decided to sit next to me and I was squealing inside but my father was right in front of him and they were currently playing one-sided footsie, as in my father kept 'accidentally' kicking Aiden. My mom and my twin siblings were the only normal ones. She kept trying to make them eat all their veggies and at the same time warn them to be careful to not ruin their pretty clothes, and they kept whining that the sweaters were itchy and the food was too green. I was currently rambling, going on and on about this new pastry shop that opened in the center of town, like an idiot. When I finished talking about the great cupcakes they had an awkward silence came over the table, the twins were sulking about not getting any dessert but they refused to eat the vegetables on their plates.
-"So, Aiden. You know I've called you 'son' all my life never really thought it could be a possibility. What exactly do you feel for my Autumn, and what digit plan to do with her?" My father asked severely.
-"I might just be inlove with her sir" Aiden answered seriously but with a slight blush on his cheeks. I gaped unashamed and then a huge grin came on my face at his honesty. He always was quite straightforward. Even though he didn't tell me directly I guess it's his way of killing two birds with one stone. Chase and Hailey were shocked that Aiden had admitted it so quickly and my father had a small smile on his face.
-"I see, well then you have passed the secret father and daughters possible boyfriend test!" My father exclaimed.
Aiden sighed relieved and I clapped while everybody else cheered for Aiden, we laughed at our exaggerated response and continued to eat joking, recalling memories and in general having a great time.
