turn off the screen and for once please listen,embrace the stillness of this one life you were given-
finally, hear the silence that's been screaming to be heard:
when are we going to wake up and start asking the real questions?
our brains are sick, full of lies we've learned through all of life's distractions,
somehow they thought it was okay to take away our ability to think.
so tell me, have you had your share of doubts?
or is your music played so loud that you can't hear a word the Universe is saying.
what's the point of these things that we do?
when will we ever make time to finally learn about the Truth?
please, if anything, don't stop searching.
I swear, life is so much more than waking up to the same routines;
I swear, this life we live is not all that it seems.
so go find Purpose,
go find what it is that makes life worth living for.
a/n: this poem was very much inspired by Twenty One Pilots. (aka my favorite band, check them out!) ALSO big thanks to Creative Communication for accepting this poem for publishing! And thanks everyone for the support!
