I was in the forest. The birds chirping and mosquitos biting. I slowly walk up the wobbly ladder. I can feel butterflies in my stomach and the nerves building up. I get to the top and look up. They're ready for me to go onto the platform. I take a slow step, feeling like I'm about to fall. I put my second foot onto the wood platform. She hooks me up onto the wire. I look down and see how high in the air I am. "3... 2... 1... FLY!" She says, and I'm still nervous. So high, and I feel very scared. It takes me a few seconds, but I step off, having an amazing time already. I hold on super tight, screaming quietly. It's over. Before I know it I swing back at the end of the wire. They pull me to the platform where I get taken off the wire.
I hear a click. "You can come down now." I step off the step and down the small ladder, I feel like I can really fly, but I know it was just a flying fox. I feel like I am still going higher and higher. Suddenly I am back on the platform. I slip and fall back. I end up shooting through the air. "I'm really flying this time!" I fly back, happily.
This story was written by me after I went to school camp. We did a flying fox, and this is my emotions, feelings and what it was like. BTW.. The picture at the top of the page is not me and not where I went to do the flying fox but it is almost the same. Ours was much higher. Also the little twist at the end was just to make it a little bit weird, because well I'm weird too :) Enjoy!
