A/N: I've started writing the POV in brackets, as many people complained the story was hard to follow! Also, anyone comments with what the title references get a dedication in the next chapter ;). Apologies for being a day late.

(Sahpiro, Prophet)

It was time for the first class of the day, though none of the Winx girls went. Miraj and I walked together to Miss Feragonda's office, as we were summoned. Possibly because someone else noticed Lanasha, Arana and Lunace were missing. We arrived at the office and knocked on the door, receiving no answer. Miraj (quite violently) opened the door. Instead of Miss Feragonda sitting at her desk, we were met by a different sight. The curtains were drawn, the lights were off, and the chair occupied by none other that Griselda. There were two chairs opposite her, one for both of us.
This can't be good, I thought.
"Girls, have a seat," Griselda sounded worried. Something was horrifically wrong.
The two of us walked across the room and sat down, glancing at each other. We both knew what the other was thinking.
"Girls-" Griselda began.
"Is this about Lunace, Anara and My sister?" Miraj interrupted.
"Where's Miss F?" I asked.
"She...well, there isn't much use hiding it from you, but don't spread this around, girls." Griselda sighed and pushed up her glasses, "Miss Feragonda is dying."
Miraj shot up immediately.
"No! There must be something we can do!" She declared.
"Unfortunately, there isn't. Fairies, wizards and witches greater than you have tried. A dark curse was placed on her, and given her advanced age..."
"Sahpiro," Miraj said as she turned to face me, "you can do something, right? You brought Anara back, right?"
Could I? Yes, the guardians of the realm of death have the ability to give the gift of life, but only sometimes. But Feragonda is not dead yet, and she may not enter my home upon her hour...not all do.
"Sahpiro?" Miraj repeated, disappointed.
I just bowed my head in shame. There is nothing I can do for you.
"Whilst I am not aware of who cursed Miss Feragonda, I do believe there are connected events here. A year ago the King and Queen of Delonia were murdered, their young daughter named Queen and the Kings father her regent. Six months ago several artefacts went missing from all over.
"Three months ago we were made aware of strange attacks by large fire-monsters. This month Feragonda was attacked, the Young Queen Cleanna went missing and now your friends."
"And you believe they're connected?" I asked.
"Yes. I'm not asking you to solve this mystery, you're too young. But I am telling you that in light of the recent events, I want neither of you to leave the school. Your fame is spreading, and your friends disappearance was not a coincidence."
Neither of us...
"But- what of the others?"
Griselda looked old and sad.
"Dead. Whomever this was the work of cursed the most brilliant fairy I've ever known, and the others would not have been a match. They're dead."
Miraj began to weep. I gritted her teeth.
No, they aren't, I decided, they can't be.

(Aronn, Not Today)

Draine and I were sparring in the gym. We had a physical endurance test coming up that we needed to prepare for.
Aside from us, the area was practically empty. Everyone else was either on missions or in class.
Draine's sword took me unaware and hit me in the shoulder. It was only a training sword, so it did no damage.
They continued and I was easily bested by my friend. Draine's sword hit me in the arm, the back, and tripped me over.
A younger student rushed in, out of breath and red in the face.
"A-al-Alfea. The-"
"What about Alfea?" I asked.
"I-teachers, need your help at...Alf-"
Draine and I looked at each other. We both immediately ran off to the ship bay.
When we arrived at Alfea twenty-five minutes later we immediately rushed to the main office, asking students for directions along the way. When we arrived and knocked on the door. Inside we found a group of people. Griselda, one of the teachers, leant spoke quietly to three fairies. Upon closer inspection, I noticed who they were.
Queen of Domino, Bloom; Queen of Melody, Musa and Queen of Linphea, Flora. What are they doing here?
"Are you who were sent from Red Fountain?" Griselda asked, and the others turned around.
Well, duh.
"We are," Draine said, "what's the situation?"
Griselda told us the full story.
"What's the plan?" I asked.
"We're working on that now. I asked Red Fountain to send their best,"
"If Lunace, Anara and Lanasha are missing, do you know where they were seen last?" Draine asked.
"Not yet,"
"Miraj and Sahpiro are still here, aren't they?" Queen Bloom asked.
"Yes. I've told them to stay in their dormitory for the time being. They could be in danger."
"Why don't we talk to them? See what they know?"
"That's a great idea, we should all go."
And so we went.
It was strange, being in this company. But what was even stranger was two second-year students from Red Fountain being called in to help on such a dangerous mission.
There was something strange going on and I suspected that Draine felt so too. We weren't being told the full story.
So I decided to pry the information out of them.
"Why us?" I asked, breaking the silence as we were nearing our destination.
"What?" Musa asked, stopping and turning to face me.
"He wants to know why you chose us two to help you." Draine said, "when whoever is behind this is so dangerous."
"We don't have time to explain just yet." Bloom said.
Just as I guessed. Draine and I looked at each other. We both knew we were being kept in the dark.
