My Famous Friend

Chapter 1

I walked to my new school, my shoulders down and my back slumping. I didn't mind my old home in Indiana but here in Michigan it's freezing its cold and my parents work all day so I walk to school and this was my first day in high school. Wish me luck!  

How I'm doing so far is... Well I walked to school in a leather jacket covering my pink silky tank top. I didn't expect it to be 41 degrees outside. I tripped in mud and fell making my white converse muddy brown. Okay big entrance ready set....
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAH" laughter filled the halls and pointer fingers all pointed to me.
I push my way through the crowd and I see Kerri Medders, my queen. And there is Bea Miller, Sabrina Carpenter, and Taylor swift. 
They don't laugh at me.
The bell finally rings and I walk sadly to class. Kerri is right behind me.
"Hello" she says making a warm smile come across my face.
"Oh hi didn't see you there" I lie gosh how could you miss her. She's wearing a golden tank top with pink glitter and a skirt flowing down to her ankles silver and gold mixture and looks like a smooth texture.
"Well if you don't know who I am I'm Kerri! It's not common for people not to know who I am. Since you don't like me for my famousness would you like to be friends?" She asks.
"Sure. What are you famous for?" I ask pretending I don't know. HOW COULD YOU NOT KNOW.
"Singing" she whispers as we sit down in our history class. Bea comes and sits on the other side of me.
"Idiot!" She laughs.
"Why?" I ask all snobbish.
"Cause your hanging out with the jerk" she says.
"Huh? Kerri?" I ask her.
"You're the only one who doesn't know who I am. It's a new start I was hoping." Kerri replies.
"Of course. Bye Beatrice!" I say flicking my hair. Did I mention this is like the best school ever now. I look at the name.

Well I should've known. WHY AM I HERE GAWSH I DO NOW KNOW!!!

I walked home with Kerri. She stopped at her house and said her goodbyes. I kept walking down the neighborhood. "I never got your name." She runs up to me and gives me a hug.
"A.J. AJ cooper!" I reply hugging back.
"Do you wanna come over" I ask her pointing to my house which is 7 houses away.
"Sure." She replies and I hear my alarm go off on my phone. Fairytale by Kerri Medders. CRAP!!
"Um I wrote that song." A smile spreads across her face.
"Oh that's you?" I lie, a smile, I can't keep in since hers is so big, appearing on my face making my dimples show.

"What a nice house you have" she yells over by brothers obnoxiously loud music. She steps into his room and realizes it isn't my room.
"Sorry!" She says putting her hand half way over her mouth and closing the door. "He's cute" she mutters.
"What did you say?" I ask her saying it as like a haven't heard.
"I said he's um... Cute" she says blushing a little. Wait now a lot.
"Hey. A.J! Introduce me to your friend." He says smiling at her.
"Stop it she's famous!" I say punching him in the arm.
"OW!" He whines grabbing his arm where I hit him at.
"Well if you had muscles it wouldn't hurt you chicken!!" I say throwing a pillow at him.
"Here." He says to Kerri and hands her his phone number, name, and email.

"Is this your room?" She asks pointing to a room with a pink door.
"NO! DO NOT GO IN THERE!" I shout as she opens the door. "Oh no" I mutter.

"Adele is on the wall!" She chuckles as we keep walking down the room.

"Does Adele go to FAB?" I ask Kerri hoping she will know.
"Yes!" She replies.
Cool!!!
"Here's my room" I stop short making her bump into me.
"Oh." She says walking in after me.
"Wow!" She gasps as she sees my crystal chandelier and my teal blue walls.
"Crap!" I mutter.
"Huh?" She asks sweetly.
"Oh nothing." I reply.
"Mom!" Bay, my older sister, says knocking on all the doors.

"MOM!!" I shout, startling Kerri.
"Is this an occasion that happens often?" She asks grabbing her backpack and cell phone.
"No!" I chuckle. "My mom has been gone for 3 years and my dad is dead." I tell her my smile fading.
When I see my mom my smile appears back on my face but only bigger.
"Baylee here this is for you!" She hands Bay a Kerri medders signed cd. Oh no!
"A.J!" She hugs me giving me a glitter gun. She looks away and Baylee and I switch gifts.
"Thanks mom!" I say rushing outside.
"I am going to go!" Kerri says giving me a hug and walking away, the opposite way of her house.
I decide to run inside and change into my camouflage dress. I'm going to spy!
10 minutes later
She looks around and runs inside a tiny shack. I see her come out with a diamond necklace in her hand.
"Run Kerri!" I yell when I see someone about to shove her in front of a car.
"I can't believe you!" She yells to me running past me.

At school

"Hey Kerri!" I say walking towards her but she just opens her locker and ignores me.
"Hello Bridget!" I walk to Bridget getting ready to become friends.
"Kerri told me. Bye" she walks away. Everyone tells me the same sentence throughout the school.
I run home after school and go straight to my computer.
I tell Kelli everything about what happened.
"I miss you. You seem like the first day was awesome but the second day seems sad" Kelli says showing me a photo of
my home in Indiana. A tear runs down my face as I say my goodbyes. I get a text from Kerri.
