My feet shuffled as the world spun around me, I was clinging to my mother's hand and looking around curiously. While walking, I picked up a pebble from the cold floor and examined it. It had a smooth surface and it was a shade of light grey, it's shape was as round as a circle and it was perfect. Just like my mother said I was. I decided it would be my lucky charm. But the most unexpected thing happened, I dropped my pebble. I only realised that seconds later. I could feel tears stinging my eyes as I chased after it like a cheetah on the hunt, but the worst thing is that my mother did not chase after me and comfort me.
I kept running, running and running, trying to keep hold of my new lucky charm, but it was too far away.
But next thing I know, the floor crumbled to pieces like a cake in your hand, and then I'm falling. I'm falling in. I managed to grab hold of my pebble, but I was falling. I screamed viciously, but no-one could help me and I knew that.
I was falling to my death.
'Mother!' I called out, but there was no reply but the echo of my voice. What was a 5-year-old meant to say?
And suddenly, I'm awake. Sitting in my comfortable bed, drenched in my own sweat. My breath was loud as I waiting for my eyes to adjust to the darkness. When it did, I got out of my bed and stepped outside to get a glass of pure water. I was glad it was just a dream. Although, the beginning was a part of my flashback, I had found that rock many years ago but I dropped it somewhere unexpectedly, and yes, my mother left me at that age, I was then cared for by my father who had died in a car accident 8 years after that. So then, I was handed over to my aunt, and at that point, I felt like an unwanted and worthless present, just waiting to be given to someone new.
The glass of water was refreshing and cool, my aunty had woken up and was then literally grumbling things.
'Summer,' she mumbled sleepily, 'What are you up to?' she peeked outside of her door and her eyes were the centre of attention of her. They were dark and droopy and she had large eye bags. 'Nothing.' I said to her.
'Go back to sleep!' I commanded, 'You look like a zombie, just go back to sleep!' My hand was outstretched with my index finger pointing to her bedroom. I finished my glass of water and placed it down on the marble bench.
I slowly approached my aunt and took her by the shoulders and almost dragged her to her bed. 'Please,' I pleaded, 'Go sleep!'
'Alright.' She muttered, 'See you this morning.' I guess she gave in and let the sleep take over her body. I remembered that she hadn't slept in the past few days since her work is really stressful.

I slipped my jeans on and jogged outside to wake my aunt up.
I approached her bedroom and slightly pushed the door open a crack. And there she was, sleeping like a baby on her floral bed. I decided not to disturb her sleep in case she wouldn't go back, so I packed my bag and headed for my new college.
First day. Worst day?
I took a deep breath before entering the college. In front of me was a simple, blue sign that had the words 'Sunfeld College.' I stared at it for what felt like centuries but was in fact only a few minutes. I felt a light tap on my back. I turned.
'Hello!' A girl smiled sweetly, 'My name is Cindy, what's yours?' I stared at her with a confused expression across my face. Her hand was now outstretched and waiting to be shook. 'S-S-S' I stuttered, 'Summer.'
'Wow! I love your name!' she exclaimed while taking my shoulder and pulling it through the doors of my new college. 'Come on! It's just a college!' She laughed heartily and ran in. My mind spun. My lips automatically lifted and I was smiling.
'Cindy!' I called out, 'Slow down!' I screeched to a halt and pulled her with me. She clashed into me and bumped me down to the ground. But then she fell on me. On my arm.
She made a funny noise and slowly got up, 'Thanks for cushioning my fall..' she laughed. I rubbed my sore arm and got up as well. 'Thanks for stopping by.' I muttered.
