An Angel In The Hood

"Dad?" Domo said, surprised, looking up from the menu. "Oh my god, DAD!" She ran and gave him a hug as she began crying. "What are you doing here?"

"Im done. I've served my time in the army and i can finally retire." He had just been gone out of Domo's life for 5 years due to being Docked over seas. "Domonique, Im here sweetie." 

"Oh, Angel. Dad, this is Angel, my fiancee. Angel, this is my dad Domonic. " Angel got up and shook his hand.

"Why, you are beautiful." He said upon placing a kiss on Angel's Hand.

"Thank you." Angel smiled.

"Sit dad, we can all eat together."

"No, honey, i actually have my ride waiting outside for me."

"Well thats it? You just got here, now you're gonna leave?"

"How does it sound if i come over later and spend the night with My daughter?"

"Um, yeah Dad, that would be great. Ill go pick up some movies."

"Great." He kissed Domo's forehead and walked away.

"Wow, i never seen you like that before." Angel said with gloss in her eyes.

"Like what?" Domo said shrugging it off and sitting back down." 

"Like that, all kiddish I guess."

"I haven't seen my dad in Years."

"Yeah, you never speak of him. Of any of your family for that matter."

"We all split up when i was a child. I never knew why. My sister went with my Aunt and Me and my brothers went with my grandmother. My parents separated."

"Damn, And you never knew why?"

"Nope. And i never asked."

"Why? Didn't it ever bother you? Not knowing where your family is. Being split up from your sister?"

"It did. It does. You know i haven't spoken to my sister since we were 12."

"Why did she get separated from you and your brothers?"

"I really don't know."

"First thing in the morning, we contact her. Deal?" Angel said extending her hand.

"Deal!" Domo said returning the favor as they shook hands.

They had a nice meal at the restaurant and afterwards went to Walmart to pick up a few movies. Domo received a call.

"Hey pumpkin, its dad. Whats your address?"

Domo gave him the address and informed him they would be home in 20 minutes.

"Lets stop and get some pizza!" Angel said as they were getting in the car.

At the pizza place Domo saw an old friend Haley. "Oh My Gosh, Dom! I haven't seen you in forever."

Haley was almost as gorgeous as Angel. She wore her hair in curls and had these deep brown eyes.

"Heyyyy!" Domo said giving her a tight hug. "Yeah, its been a while. How you been?"

"I been okay, Living on my own, doing my own things you know how that go. You should come visit me sometimes."

Angel slightly cleared her throat then looked out the window.

"Oh, Sorry. Ley, this is my Girl Angel, Angel this is Haley."

"Hi."  Angel slightly smiled.

"Hello. Well i have to get going. Ill see you soon okay." She hugged Domo and left out. Angel snatched the pizza and walked out as well getting inside the car. Her silence was loud.
