_____________
RECAP:
I nodded along every once and a while, but I was too caught up in pink soft lips. I brought my fingers up to feel mine, which were thin and chapped. He looked up at me and looked at my hands and back to my eyes and back to my lips. We both started leaning in slowly and before you know it....
The bell went. I immeadiately opened my eyes and flushed a deep crimson. He leaned back and rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly, looking down at his desk. I rushed to stand up and grab all my papers before bolting out of the room, with no intention of looking back at him.

As I slammed my locker shut after the last class of the day, I scurried out the front doors of the school towards the parking lot. Just as I was unlocking my vehicle, a hand caught my wrist. I winced away from the feeling of someone grabbing me. The persons grip on my wrist loosened slowly. I turned around to see who was interupting my peaceful sauntering.
I looked up and saw none other than the mystery boy, smiling down at me. I never would of guessed he was tall, due to the fact he was sitting when I met him. He towered over my tiny five-foot-three figure, being about six feet tall. I looked up at him through my lashes, afraid to speak after our encounter earliar.
He looked deep into my eyes, as he spoke. "I never caught your name.." He trailed off awkwardly.
I nodded before speaking quietly, "M-my name i-is Jade. I didn't get yours either."
His face held a hint of a smile, "I'm Damon."
I hummed in aknowledgement and turned back around to hop inside my car. He grabbed onto my wrist once more, making me freeze.
"I was wondering if you still needed help with that assignment. Because I'm free until--"
"I-I'm good. I can handle m-myself. Please, just let me be." I cut him off.
He let go of my wrist hesitantly, "Why are you being so distant?"
I winced at his choice of words. I looked down at my chuck taylors, avoiding all eye contact.
"Because I have more demons than angels; its a constant fight between them. I am anything but normal."
Damon grabbed my shoulders roughly turning me around, lifting my chin up with his fingers.
"Darling, can't you see? I want to be your friend. Please, let me in."
I looked intently into his soul, contemplating a response. "Why? I'm just another anti-social emo punk."
He chuckled before saying, "The fact is, you are more than you seem to be Jade."
I furrow my eyebrows, "what do you mean?"
He smiles, whole-heartedly down at me, "Just embrace it."
