The day awaited by all , June 1st had come at last. Where people waited for it arrive, I wished for it to get delayed although it didn't. The speciality of this day was, it was NATIONAL DARE DAY usually celebrated at our place every year at Manteo - North Carolina.

Me and my friends would always decide a dare beforhand itself. Steve, Arthur, Zayden, Amelia, Scarlet and me, all of us comes up with six dares for each of us to be handed over respectively after the 'Spin the Bottle' game, one of the most important level in a Dare game.
After that level its decided which Dare among the six is for whom and the weirdest dare of this year, suggested by Zayden was given to me 'To go for a Date with Charlie Wildfred.'

Charlie was the cutest guy I ever saw (no offence on that) but considered as a loser when it comes to making friends and also the weirdest boy because of his behavior when anyone tries to mingle with him. He usually try to stalk at me but whenever Me or my friends noticed him doing it he tries to disappear from there. At times he would wait outside my class to catch a glimpse of me and by the time I get downstairs from the third floor for my next class He would be there too.

These stuffs made my friends think that there was something cooking between us, which I was not sharing to them and this years' dare would be easier for me in that case. Whenever they said like that I would always just think 'How amazingly he would come down neither using the elevator nor the stairs, WOW!'

Funally I musted up a bit courage and on May 31st, just before the Dare Day I went to ask him whether he would go for a date with me. I saw him in the ground walking all alone ; he doesn't have much friends because no one is actually ready to befriend him because of his odd behaviour, so I went to him to ask the question I wanted to,

"Hi Charlie." I waved infront of him.
"Me? I mean you are talking to me?" He asked confusingly.

"Well there is no Charlie around other than you, So I think I AM talking to you only." I answered him back.

"Okay! Well hello, How may I help you?"

"First of all, you're not a waiter of some restaurant neither am I a customer so you do not have to talk like that."

"Okay, Well sorry about that."

"It's okay and Second thing is I wanted to ask you is a simple question."
"Go on."
"Umm....before that, don't freak out or start behaving strangely AGAIN on hearing the question."

"I never did, its just you people who assume it like that! Anyway carry on with the question you wanted to ask."

"Actually the thing is, Would you mind going for a date with me tomorrow?"

He was looking quite amused by my question but after sometime he gave me a positive answer asking whether I am sure about this, although I wasn't I had to say 'Yes' as it's my dare and I WILL have to complete it.

I had not mentioned to Charlie that this all was a dare, if I had he might have refused or.....maybe he wouldn't, I don't know. He is actually sweet, not as strange as I thought, but still weird.
