Coral

Coral has the scent of,

salty air circling your nose

vanilla ice cream melting on to your toes

cotton candy at a circus that is bluer than the sky above you

Coral sounds like,

waves crashing against the pointy remnants of beautiful sea shells

The ferris wheel spinning at a summer fair

A tropical palace with tourists in their new island costumes

Coral feels like,

mellow winds wrapping you in courage

stifling heat that even the air conditioner itself can’t grapple

chomp chomp, on a crisp apple

The sun that seems to be smiling at you today

Coral tastes like,

crisp strawberries with fresh whipped cream

A picnic at the beach when sand gets in your sandwich and you don’t care

slurp slurp, the tart lemonade trickles down my throat
