Awkward City...

When the lunch bell rings, i grab my stuff, and run to my locker. I stuff everything i need for my next class, and walk over to math class. Ugh.

When i arrive, i see Josh and Maddie, hunched over in a corner, talking quietly. I walk on over.

''I'll see you around?'' Josh says. She nodded. He turns over to me.

''Hey there!''

''Hi'' i replied.

RIIIIIIIING!

The bell rings, and the teacher walks in, droning on about whatever. Josh leans over.

''Call me after school, there's something i wanna ask''

''Um...sure!'' I say

Just then, Grace leans over.

''Oooooh, what did he say?'' Grace said

''Oh nothing...''

''C'mon Bella! you can tell me.''

''OK, he just told me to call him after school''

''What for?'' She says

''Dunno.''

I stare at Maddie, trying to signal her to talk. She spots me and looks away. Hmm....

''Maddie!'' Grace whispers

''WHAT?'' Maddie says

''I was gonna ask, if you knew the answer to question 12 on the worksheet but, never mind....''

''Oh, i don't know'' Maddie says softly

I check the time. Only 5 seconds......

RRRRRRRRRINNNNNG!

The final bells rings. I rush out the door and spot Avery and Alexis walking home. I follow them.

''i gotta talk to you guys. Meet me here after school tomorrow.'' I say

''OK! C ya there!'' Avery says

''Bye!'' Alexis said

I rush back into school, to see Josh standing there, waiting for me.

''Sorry, i almost forgot to show you around.''

''It's OK''Josh says

I walk into the school, and give him a very short tour of the school. At the end, he turns to me.

''Want me to walk you home?'' He asks

''Uh.....sure!'' I can feel my cheeks getting hot.

When we reach my house, i run in.

''Call me later!'' I say

I rush into my room, but on my favorite sweatpants, sweater, and jeans and get inside my room. I stuff my backpack on my desk, and grab my iPhone out of my sweatpants pocket.

I check for any messages. There's one from......Kate?

In case you haven't known, Kate is my little sister. She's really annoying, but she's 14 so she's not so bad. She still acts like a child. Plus, based on her brown hair and dark black eyes, she looks NOTHING like me! She looks a lot like my dad though.

Anyway.....

I read it. It says:

''Hey there Isabella. I heard your crushing on Josh Carter. Alison's sister went out with him before. She say's he's a big-time CHEATER and a PHONY! I'm just telling you to drop him, because he's gonna hurt you later on.

WOW! THIS IS THE FIRST TIME SHE'S BEEN SERIOUS???

I guess it's really Awkward City......
