Violet wondered around the school parking lot to find her mom. She'd been waiting for three hours, everyone else had already gone home. She sighed in disappointment and finally gave up.
"Once again, I have to walk home alone in the dark," she said to no one as she started walking home. She checked her watch, it was already 8:30.
She took the long way home, enjoying the cold December night. She stayed away from the streets and walked along the edges of the woods. She liked the peacefulness of the place.
She suddenly heard a scream coming from deep within the woods. She wasn't sure whether to check it out or just go home.
That night, she tossed and turned, but couldn't seem to fall asleep. She kept wondering what had happened out there, in the woods.
Around 2am she couldnt stand it any longer and put on boots and a jacket. She grabbed a flashlight and headed out towards the woods. It was dark and cold outside, she shivered. She walked through the woods slowly and cautiously. She faintly heard a weird sound. She headed towards the sound.
She found a dead body on the ground. It looked as if someone had torn it limb from limb after having stabbed in a million times. She slowly backed away from the body. Suddenly she heard a low growl behind her. She was frozen in place.
"Someone's been a bad little girl," a guy whispered in my ear. He grabbed me and I looked to see there was a knife in his hand, it was covered in blood and so was he.
It couldn't be, it wasn't possible. She can't be stuck out in the woods with some insane killer. Violet pushed the guy away with as much strength as she could, careful to avoid the knife. Without even turning around, she ran for her life.
