Ross came to his uncle's house the next day daydreaming about Violet. He thought of her beauty. He wanted to know more about her, and her strange family. She must have lifted the car. The rock could have stopped it but couldn't flip it over like that. He hummed to himself as he walked in the house. Joe noticed his happy mood. He set his coffee on the kitchen table.
"I know that look..." Joe smirked. Ross raised his eyebrow at his uncle, trying to make it not look less obvious. He put his school bag down, and rolled his eyes. Don't blush, or he'll start teasing me.
"You met a girl didn't you?" Joe chuckled. Ross tried really hard not to smile. Deny it.
"Why would you guess that?" Ross asked putting on his best poker face. Joe rolled his eyes, and walked to his nephew, putting his hand on Ross' shoulder.
"C'mon kiddo, I know you too well. What's her name?" He insisted. Ross sighed and gave up. He's going to tell my parents about her.
"Her name is Violet. But it doesn't matter. I won't see her again." He desperately thought of what he could change the subject to. Joe thought for a moment.
"Why don't you leave a note for her where you saw her?" He suggested. Ross thought about it for a moment. Sure leave a love note near a car crash.
"Yah, I guess that could work." Ross heard a small beep in his jean pocket. "I got to get this." He said taking out his phone. It was Stanly, probably calling to ask for help on his homework.
"Okay, but dinner is in half an hour." Joe nudged him. Ross nodded.
He went up to the spare room that he usually stayed in at his uncle's place. It was a text from Stanly, not a call. Four texts actually. Ross read all of them, and realized his friend was asking if the rumors about his parents were true. Ross put his phone down, and walked away. He opened up the closet door and crept inside. He took his book with him, and silently looked through his favorite chapters using the dim closet light bulb. He couldn't distract himself from his problems for very long though. Wouldn't be too long till Wylie would also be asking about his parents divorce. Can't they mind their own business? I didn't ask to for this. Then something interrupted his thoughts. The Alphas. Joe had suggested him to write something for Violet. She probably won't find it. But it might help distract me from my problems. So Ross wrote a letter like his uncle suggested.
In the morning luckily Violet found it.

She walked with her blonde sister Rosetta in the meadow. Both girls wore fancy clothing, only well off people could afford. They were silent, as they enjoyed the fresh air. This town has changed over the decades, but this beautiful forest and meadow will never cease to be the same. She thought. Violet spotted the note on the ground. She picked it up, and began to read it. Rosetta watched her, and peered over her shoulder to try and read also. I'll just leave the note where I found it, and he'll think I never came back and saw it.
"This young man appears to be desperate." Violet folded the note back up. He and his companions both.
"What young man do you speak of?" Rosetta asked suspiciously. Her blonde hair blew like a model in the wind. Violet gave a sheepish look at her. Rose won't be happy about this.
"In truth, he is a teenager I saved from a speeding vehicle just yesterday." Violet said avoiding her sister's eyes. Rosetta sighed. She looked over the closed of area where the dead couple had been found in their truck earlier that day.
"I presumed you had something to do with this." She shook her head. Violet rolled her eyes, and stuffed Ross's note in her pocket, forgetting she wanted to leave it where she found it.
"If we stay clear of this area for a while, Ross might soon believe it was a fragment of his imagination or a dream." She suggested. Rosetta suddenly smirked. She turned Violet around to see.
"Good idea, only. I hope that is not the Ross you speak of." She pointed over to the guy approaching them. Violet turned around to see the same black haired green-eyed boy she saved the other day. Damn it. She thought. What shall I do to get away from him now?
"Hi Violet." Called out Ross. He had decided to come back and see if the note was still there near the end of the day. Violet put on a fake smile, and waved back. All the while, Rosetta stood there still smirking.
"Hello Ross." Violet replied. Just be nice to him, and make up an excuse as to why you must leave for home.
"I hope you got the note." He said hopefully. Violet nodded, and took out the note in her hands. He smiled, knowing his plan had worked. "Good, so do you wanna hang out or something?" He asked. Then he noticed Rosetta. "Oh I shouldn't be rude. Your name is Rosetta right?" He added referring to the same blonde girl he'd seen the other day. Rosetta gave a tiny nod to him.
"Yes, Rosetta is my sister." Said Violet. Rosetta shook Ross' hand to be polite.
"Pleased to meet you. Unfortunately Violet hadn't mentioned your little encounter to me until moments ago. So unfortunate..." Rosetta glanced at the closed off area where the couple had met their end. If my dear sister wants to torment my mistake of trying to be a hero then I shall torment her in a greater way.
"Yes, though through that unfortunate event Ross and I became acquainted." Violet smiled. Rosetta glared at her, realizing she was about to do something very bad.
"Ross, if you would like to spend time with me I'm afraid I am a busy person. Though tonight if you would like you may join my family and I for our annual family film night." Violet knew of how much Rosetta dreaded people coming into their home. Although she did have a reason, Violet still persisted to piss her older sister off. This will make her fuming. Ross beamed happily.
"Sure I'd love to come. I hope I'm not intruding though." Said Ross. He wanted to sound very polite to impress Violet. But Violet couldn't care less; she just wanted to annoy her sister.
"You're not intruding at all." Violet replied before Rosetta could interject. "I'll meet you back here in an hour. Goodbye until then." She said. Ross nodded and turned around to leave. Rosetta gave her sister a disgusted look.
"Do you have any idea the dangers of bringing him into the house?" Rosetta snapped. Violet rolled her eyes once again. I know very well the dangers. I am not stupid.
"You are always so paranoid sister. You need to learn to enjoy life." She insisted. Rosetta stepped right in front of her sister with a grave look.
"Do you remember last time you made friends with an outsider?" She snapped. Violet pushed her out of the way. Last time that outsider became my closest companion.
"I'm not befriending him. I am not just using him to piss you off either. Look, if he sees us as a normal family then he'll tell all of his friends that we are normal. Perhaps then we won't have so many of those damned teenagers trying to spy on us." She said. She might actually agree on that plan. Rosetta made a face.
"What happens when or if that plan fails?" She stressed. Violet shrugged. If it fails I will blame you, for lack of trying to stop my plan.
"Not sure, but it doesn't have to fail. We can easily take down the family portraits and hide the century old jewelry. Then he will be clueless." She persisted. Rosetta shook her head. She didn't like this plan one bit. Violet kept on walking down the path.
"Fine, I suppose this could work. After all, for the first time in over two hundred years my little sister will have a date." She gave Violet a huge nudge. Violet gritted her teeth. Must she really pull that card?
"It is not a date!" She snapped. Rosetta started to dance circles around her younger sister the whole walked home, teasing her. Ross walked home, thinking of what he should wear to impress the purple-eyed beauty. He started to get ready as soon as he was home.
