*1 month later*
Ashley and I had been dating for a little over a month now and the band which we had decide to name War, Love & Peace had taken off. We just finished an extremely short tour and we had Vans Warped tour that we were going to play at in a week, then all the bands that played there had around a month off, including Black Veil Brides. Our bands got along really well and I had recently found out that Andy and Bri were dating. They were so cute together. Ashley and I had rarely seen each other except for Skyping and sending selfies back and forth via text. We missed each other greatly and we couldn't wait for Warped.
*1 week later*
My bus pulled into the dirt lot for Warped Tour. When we were parked, I climbed off carrying my bass that had been bought for me. It was red and black zebra striped and custom made for me. We walked to the stage and set our stuff up in our own section then walked back out into the light, behind the stage. I kept looking around for Black Veil Brides or Bri's bright red hair. I didn't see them yet, so I just stood outside talking with Rick, Joe and Angie and smoking with them. It turned out that Angie wasn't my favorite in the band because she was always late to practices and lied about where she was. I don't know where she was, but it ticked me off. I always had to be in a hurry or something and she would show up 20 minutes late. I tried to show that it didn't bother me because I didn't want a war between us in the band, so I just tried to wave it off.
We were talking about how exited we were for our first Warped Tour concert when I was picked up and spun around multiple times. I dropped my cigarette and laughed. Ashley was the only one who did this me. When he put me down, I turned to face him. We kissed as the others walked up behind us. I hugged them and hugged Bri too. We all walked around before we had to go and get ready.
Black Veil Brides was the second to last band to play and we were the last band. It was epic. Afterwards, we all hung out and went back to our busses, then went to the bar. All except for Angie. She said she wasn't feeling too well, so she was going to go back to the bus and rest. About 20 minutes later, Ashley said he forgot his phone at the bus and needed to make a call, so he left and walked back to the bus.
An hour later, we were all leaving and I wanted to stay the night with Ashley, so I went with BVB back to their bus. The walk was about 15 minutes and I wanted to see Ashley, so I walked quickly back to the bus, ahead of everyone. I was first one back to the bus and when I opened the door, I heard voices coming from another room in the bus. I ignored it figuring it was Ashley on the phone and walked back to the bathroom. But on the way I passed the bunk room and in the bunk room was Ashley. With Angie. In his bunk. He saw me. He cheated on me. He promised to do nothing to hurt me and here he was cheating on me with his own free will. Tears sprang to my eyes.
"Melody. I-I can explain." He stuttered. I rolled my eyes.
"Let me guess, you and Angie have been carrying on a secret relationship and thought I would never find out and other than when our bands met, this was the first time you guys could see each other in person so you pretended you were sick and you pretended to forget your phone, then take this opportunity to mess around behind my back! And you were the reason Angie was always late to our band practices, wasn't it?" I said looking at Angie. She avoided eye contact. Ashley had found his boxers somewhere in the covers and put them on, then jumped out of the bunk. He stepped towards me.
"Mel." He said. He was getting choked up. I didn't care. If he didn't want this to happen, why did he ask me out? Why did he start the relationship with Angie? Why did he cheat on me? Why didn't he break up with me?
"Don't bother." I said. "We're over." I said harshly. Tears escaped my eyes.
"Melody, please don't do this." He begged me.
