"You have a strong smell on you." The hot headed male stated to Alice who simply looked at him with a side glance.
"And who might you be?" Alice asked with a look in her eye that was cold as ice.
"Kagami Taiga and I want to challenge you to a one on one game right now." Kagami demanded which made the tall female laugh out loud at the guy's cockiness.
"You won't stand a chance kid." Alice said with mockery as she closed in on Kagami who was a few inches taller than her.
The way Kagami's eyes turned into a death glare made Alice's smirk widen as she came one step away from him.
"If I beat you right now there's going to be a high probability that you won't become a regular anymore." Alice informed in a low cautious voice as she sneered at Kagami. For some reason she just didn't like him already, she was reminded too much of Aomine and she didn't need that bastards face in her head any time soon.
Just as Kagami was about to growl out an insult and most likely make a grab for Alice's shirt to get her intimidated the short haired senior blew her whistle, gaining the attention of everyone inside the gym.
"The way things are going, none of you two will be placed in games, much less as my spare in the bench." The girl's brown eyes looked at both teens with a glare that challenged them to keep doing what they were doing to see if she was playing around. If the way Kagami 'tsked' and Alice made a sigh of annoyance told Riko something, it was that they wanted to play in games no matter what. She gave a sigh and looked at both tall teens before going back to look at the new members again.
"You're a bigger idiot than I thought Alice." Hanna whispered at the girl who stood besides her once more. She stifled a giggle when her friend gave her incoherent words.
Alice simply gave a sigh again before she wondered her thoughts to this morning.
It was broooring. The only interesting thing to watch in the morning was watch Hanna cry out tears of sadness when she figured out that they weren't in the same class like they had been through the years. Alice looked at her friend in amusement and gave a light hearted laugh when she heard Hanna mumble out that she was going to do something about this and left running without waiting for her.
'Guess I'll look for the booth to register both of us...' Alice had thought as she began to walk aimlessly through the crowded entrance of Seirin. She ignored all the people who were asking her to join their clubs and even pushed some guy out of the way when he tried to stop her from going to check out the basketball booth by putting himself in front of her. The boy simply tripped on his feet and fell on his ass before scurrying away from Alice's sight.
As soon as Alice had reached the basketball booth she was greeted by a short haired female and a guy with short black hair and glasses. She was greeted right away and with a big smile from the woman but a simple mumble from the man, it looked like they barely got out of bickering with each other and he was just simply mumbling his complaints. Alice simply sat down, not caring about how she was greeted and looked at the woman with a small smile, honestly it probably looked more like a smug smile to those around her.
"I'm going straight to the point. My friend wants to be the manager for this club and I wanna join it." Although Alice wasn't really trying to appear mean or rude she just couldn't help but be grouchy so early in the morning. Especially since she overslept thanks to Sugar and the gang. They had spent the entire day and night, until 3 in the morning to be exact, at Luka's house playing video games and eating snacks like there was no tomorrow. They even made the mistake of giving Shorty an Energy Drink and watch her run off to the back yard and climb Luka's house all the way to the roof only for her to yell out how much she was "fucked up from just a drink" before she threw herself at the pool Luka had in her back yard. Eventually they had to tie her up and throw her into the closet for her and everyone's safety and sanity.
Alice grumbled in annoyance at the thought of Hanna barging into her house at 6 in the morning just to tell her to get up and get ready for school. Alice had flipped her off while telling her to "fuck off" which resulted in Hanna throwing ice cold water at her.
All in all Alice didn't want to go to school on the first day, she had even planned on just skipping the first week and say she had gotten sick when in reality she would most likely sleep until 2 in the afternoon, eat and then head over to Pirate's house to kill some time. Hanna however stepped all over her plans and forced her to go to school were she basically searched for the stupid basketball booth for 30 minutes.
She gave a sigh and took the offered drink the female gave her before speaking up again. "You don't mind if I sign in my friend right?"
"Of course not!" The woman had cheerfully replied making Alice cringe at her excitement. She simply grabbed a pen that was there and proceeded to write everything the paper required before leaving as fast as she could. She failed to notice the tall red head male who was glaring at her intently as she passed him. She also failed at sensing the calculative eyes of one small cyan colored haired boy.
When Alice had arrived to her class she wasn't the least bit surprised to see her friend sitting down at the back of the class with a wicked smile that made everyone in the room uncomfortable and scared.
"What did you do?" Alice asked as she grabbed her chair besides the raven haired girl.
"Whatever do you mean Alice?" Hanna replied as she gave her an innocent smile before she showed Alice two papers one that read "10" and "15." "By the way you should thank me for getting us these back desks. They were about to be taken but I managed somehow."
"Aha." Alice replied as she turned to look froward to were the board had numbers labeled. She simply smirked at Hanna before proceeding to stretch and take a nap.
That nap turn into a full blown out good night's sleep, something she didn't had the pleasure of doing, and by the time she woke herself up it was already time to head home. She turned to look at Hanna who was reading a book about Human Anatomy before closing it and locking her eyes with her own.
"Well?"
"Well, what?" Alice snapped back feeling and hearing her back pop as she sat down correctly. It made her wince in pain at the way she was suddenly hurting all over her back.
"That." Hanna informed as she placed the book away in her bag and stretched her hands up before standing up. "I thought you would know that if you slept like that for more than a few hours you would get some sort of pain out of it. It's common sense."
"I was just so damn sleepy." Alice mumbled back as she copied Hanna's moves and stood up, wincing a little at the pain her back felt. She missed her bed already.
"If you change right now to some practice clothes you should arrive just in time for introductions at the school's gym." Hanna warned as she and Alice began to walk out of their classroom together. "But let me guess, you didn't bring anything right?"
Alice gave a nod of her head, ready to leave to her house since she didn't have anything to change into but as usual Hanna stepped all over that idea yet again.
"Don't worry! I brought you something to change into at least. Although I didn't bring any bandages I'm guessing your sports bra should do the trick. It's a good thing you don't have that many female characteristics on you."
"Suuure." Alice replied back before she was pushed into the girl's restroom and made to change into a black shirt that combined with her dark grey shorts. She placed on her White and aqua green Nike shoes before heading go the gym once more were, like Hanna had said, instructions were being said.
"Aida-san." Hanna had greeted with a "sweet" smile to the short haired senior but Alice saw that smile one too many times when she was going to "convince" someone about something. The said woman had stopped talking to whoever she was talking to and walked up go Hanna with a questioning look.
"Have I met you before?" The female asked as she looked at Hanna directly in the eyes with her hands on her hips.
"No, but that doesn't matter right now~" Hanna began and Alice decided to let the blue eyed girl do whatever she was planning on doing without getting in the way. That's when her eyes locked onto intense red eyes. She quickly sensed it, the raw potential the guy had. The way he radiated the feeling of a wild animal ready to pounce at their pray and devour them both with fear and action.
That's when she noticed something she shouldn't, something that made her snap like she would if the person she imagined on him would be there with her.
"Got something to say?" Asshole? Was left unsaid but heavily implied, that made the red headed male snap as well making Gunjo realize that the dude was reaaaally short tempered and hot headed.
That's how things had build up to the point were it became obvious that a fight might break out and was disrupted by the short female.
Alice gave a sigh of annoyance at herself for snapping at Kagami like that but just the thought of one of her old teammates being near her or in the same team as her made her growl in frustration. There was no way in hell that no blood was going to spill out if Alice came face to face with any of them, especially her ex-captain and ace.
"Take off your shirts!" As soon as Alice heard that she turned to look at the shocked expression of the new basketball members, except of Kagami's and hers. She turned to look at Hanna with wary eyes, knowing very well how the girl liked to analyze the way ones body was before making some sort of hellish training menu but to her surprise she was smiling as if she already knew what they all had as defects. It made Alice shiver a little at the thought of her friend literally analyzing everyone in Seirin's basketball team up to the bone. She probably knew what food they even liked and disliked. Alice shivered once more before deciding to look at her, what she hoped were her, new teammates.
They weren't that bad in shape, most of the new recruits just needed to work more harder on their training, Kagami on the other hand was just as she had felt and expected. He was polished to a point but not completely, Alice wondered if maybe someone had polished him to some point and left him to grow for himself. She opted that yes, there was someone who had done that and was more likely very proud of their work, she knew she would be anyways. Alice suddenly felt unnerving eyes on her before the feeling vanished just as quick. The sensation lingered and just as she was about to survey the area and look for the cause of her goosebumps a shrilling cry made everyone turn to look were the short haired female was looking scared and pale. Hanna hummed as soon as she was aware of the person in front of the woman and Alice gave a huff of annoyance as she mentally gave herself a pat on the back. She had guessed right when she knew that at least she would get the luck of being in the same school as one of her ex-teammates and she knew the boy so well to know he would join a 'no-name' school like Seirin. His pale skin stood out more with his cyan colored hair and eyes. His emotionless face making Alice frown in disapproval but she couldn't help but greet the other boy, even after all the shit they went through.
"Kuroko." Alice said in a tone she hoped did not sound like she was growling at the kid. By the way Hanna smiled at her approvingly that meant she did well. The boy turned to look at her and gave her the same unnerving look she had felt awhile back "So it was you who was staring at me."
"Hello, Gunjo-san." The short male replied as he gave a polite bow to Gunjo who didn't seem affected by the kids politeness. " I wasn't staring at you, I was just observing."
"Whatever you want to call it then." Alice replied back as she gave the smaller boy a shrug to show that she didn't believe the boy one bit. Their conversation, if you would call it that, was interrupted by Aida clearing her throat and looking at Kuroko with a bit of fear still present in her eyes after being startled like that.
"T-take off your shirt."
Kuroko did as told and Alice was not surprised to see the boy was still weak as he was back then.
The boys were dismissed after Aida had finished analyzing everyone. No one complained as no one liked being held up on the first day of school, just like everyone in the world, they preferred to rest at the comfort of their home.
Alice, however, was stopped from leaving to her home as well by Hanna's steel like grip. The tall female was abort to whine and complain to her friend that it was time to head home and take a nap but stopped when she noticed that Aida was standing there looking at Alice as if she was thinking of something important.
"So your Gunjo huh?" Aida began as she placed her index finger and thumb on her chin. "It's my first time seeing someone so polished."
"Thank you." Hanna smiled back sweetly and Alice just mumbled in annoyance. Aida didn't say anything and continued to look at her until she gave a hum.
"I guess I can place you in as a regular, you have done it before so it shouldn't be a problem." Aida summed up as she looked at Hanna instead of Alice. She didn't mind though and was about to drag Hanna home since they got approved but like always that wasn't the case. "However I also might not."
"What? Why?" Alice asked right away as she looked down on the girl with a glare that was meant to intimidate. Aida simply looked back at her without even a flinch.
"The way you acted with Kagami-kun is why I might not place you. Even he might not be placed in. I want a team, not selfish individuals who'll ruin the team's tempo with bickering." Alice couldn't help but widen her eyes at the way the woman had just literally put her in her place. She gave the girl a grin as she turned to look at Hanna.
"She's got spunk. I like her." Hanna simply gave Alice a nod of her head before the girl turned to look at their coach again. "I'll be honest with you, but it might seem like I'm just saying this but I'm a lot more controlled than this. Had a rough morning is all, coach."
"I'm going to think about it..." The girl said in a thoughtful tone but the way Hanna smile had grown bigger she knew she was more likely going to enter the team even if she didn't want to. "Tomorrow we're having a mock game, If you pass my expectations I'll place you in as one of the spares, even as a starter if the regulars are more impressed. In all honesty I haven't seen you play but I've heard good things about you, so this should be easy for you right?"
Alice smirked at her showing that she was more than okay with that kid challenge. She nodded her head before she left walking away with Hanna. Her only thought was on how she was going to have to take a good nights sleep to be energized by tomorrow.
