"What do you think your best position is?" Hanna had asked Alice early in the morning as they closed in on their desks. Alice had replied a few seconds late as she had sat down and quickly placed her head on her arms as a cushion for her to fall asleep much better.
"Why the sudden question?" Alice asked half asleep but still alert to what Hanna was asking.
"Answer the question." Hanna simply replied as she began to prepare her materials on her desk. The book of Human Anatomy was the first thing she took out from her school bag and placed on the desk.
"Uh... I don't know, you made me excel in every position, how do you want me to pick one when I'm good in all?" Alice mumbled out as she kept her head placed on her arms. Somehow her own voice was luring her back to sleep but Hanna's voice kept luring her back to reality.
"Then let me rephrase the question." Hanna replied back with her voice filled with energy and ready to take on the day. That made Alice cringe as she stretched and gave a rude yawn in order to wake herself up. "Which position in basketball do you like the most?"
"... I guess that would be small forward." Alice hummed in thought as she remembered her days back in Teiko and how she would be constantly switching positions with her ex- teammates in order to see what position she would fit in well. In the end they gave her the position of small forward since it was a position that could fit her well thanks to her aggressive approach on the ball. "And if I have to say which position I hate the most it would probably be... Center."
"Is that so..." Hanan mumbled with a smirk on her lips as she closed her bag and opened her book. Alice stared at her for a while before she glared at her with the nastiest look she could make.
"What did you do?" Alice asked in a hiss and those around her quickly quiet down when they saw the look she was sporting.
"What do you mean what did I do? I haven't done anything... yet." Hanna's simple, yet 'innocent' reply made Alice want to strangle her. She honestly didn't even know if what Hanna wanted to do was for the best or just another way to make her life a living hell. "I was just very curious on what you liked and disliked."
"... Bullshit." Alice replied back with a huff as she leaned on her chair and stretched her legs in a very comfortable way. "But knowing you, you won't tell me anything will you?"
"I already told you what you wanted to know." Hanna replied with a pout that made Alice cringe in distaste.
"Whatever, wake me up when something interesting happens." Alice mumbled out in defeat as she re-positioned herself the way she was before and quickly fell into a deep slumber.
As usual Alice had slept the entire morning with no worries at all. She simply woke up when her friend had began to shake the chair to the point it almost tipped over.
"Here." Hanna said as she slammed a piece of paper on the desk and shoved a pen to Alice's face. "Do this work and when you're done meet me at the roof! I have something else to do very quick before I go there myself so be sure to get there immediately!"
"Wait, what?" Alice asked dumbly as she rubbed her eyes in order to remove any sleep that still clung there but by the time she had finished Hanna was gone and she was greeted by the sight of some students still in class. She checked her phone for the time and saw that it was barely lunch break. "What the hell Hanna." Alice complained as she grabbed the pen from the table and looked over the papers her friend had given her. She gave a low growl when she noticed that it was the same paper she had filled out when she wanted to register for basketball, the only difference was that it had one extra line at the bottom of the paper with the principal's signature.
