AND INGNORE MY GRAMMAR

Chapter 5: When I Look At You

It was 7:30. Chase dropped me home after six flags and went home. My whole family and I would later go to their house for dinner, and to talk to the head of Panda Records. I haven’t even bothered to look up his name or ask Chase. I knew this was nothing. One person couldn’t make me famous. I was nowhere near the next Justin Bieber.

With thirty minutes to get dressed I went to my closet and decided on what I should wear. I had to dress to impress. I couldn’t wear anything to casual or too fancy. I stared at my closet and decided to wear what I bought a couple days ago at Express. It was a sheer button down shirt with a pocket. I paired it with silver shiny shorts. Today was really warm compared to the other days. The temperature was in the 80’s. I decided to wear it with strappy wedges, and a couple of necklaces I found lying around in my room. My look was complete. I wanted to tie my hair in a bun to look professional. But then I decided to just have it fall down. My hair was blond and wavy. It had a lot of volume and came down to my elbow. It was almost time to leave and I had a feeling we were going to run late.

“Are you ready yet?” I asked my parents. Hoping they could hear me from their room.

“Yes darling we are all waiting on you” they replied.

Oh I went downstairs and saw my family on the couch waiting to go. My mom wore a plain blue dress with some black heels. She wanted to look professional. My dad wore his Armani suit. I could tell he bought it two weeks ago at Saks Fifth Avenue. I had no siblings I was an only child. My parents thought I was enough trouble so they just stuck with me. I was never that lonely growing up though, I always had Chase by my. And being a lonely child had many advantages. I got more things because my parent had more money to spend. I never had to share. But t being the only child my parents have high hopes for me because I am the only one with the family name.

They both came and hugged me. “I am so proud of you” my mom said. “Your dad and I always knew you had a career in preforming arts ahead of you. We just never thought you would get the opportunity to show what you have. Now you have. We are the proudest parents in the world. You are an amazing singer. I think it could really get you somewhere in life, “she said.

“Thanks mom and dad. But, I am not sure if I want to do this yet. Just come on do you really think I could be famous. I didn’t even want to come today. Chase made me come.”
