It is the first day of my work as a public attorney. I just passed the bar exams last month. I just can’t believe it, it’s like a fast forward. 10 years has passed so fast and it’s been a decade and since I graduated from highschool. Though I consider that season of my life as a season of trials, I still thank that part which brought me to where I am right now. Here I am,ATTY. CZARILYN CAPUSO, ready to fight for those men and women who were deprived of their rights.
And oh, I have a lot of works to do today waiting for me on my table inside my law office.
Time to work! I grabbed the first folder and started reviewing the details of the legalization of child adoption. I was like thinking, this is really cool. Another life is going to turn 360 degrees. As I was reading its details, I noticed the signatures of the foster parents to be. Vina Marie Tomelden? The name sounds familiar. For a moment, I stopped and thought of my HS mates and lover, Vina and Jester. It was so sweet. It made me smile thinking about their love story turned into a happy ending. Suddenly, a knock on the door awakened me from those sweet thoughts. It was them! I felt so excited about meeting them after a decade. MISS VINA MARIE OBTINALLA & MISTER JESTER DAN TOMELDEN entered my office shocked. After short laughters and reacquaintance, we talked about their lives. JESTER AND VINA became business and life partners as the owners of CONVENIENCE STORES which had 10 branches in several cities and towns in Laguna including Sta. Rosa.
Then, they told me to wait till I see from what foundations did the get their foster child, which was founded by into my surprise, MR. DWIGHT ARVIN RAMOS and MR. CEDRICK CAMACHO. They told me that they were partners in buy-and-sell industry and dedicated themselves by giving shelter to street children. I was so amazed with this meeting! I continued to search for a work to do when I noticed the headline of a broadsheet and this caught my interest : “BILL GATES HIRED A FILIPINO SOFTWARE DEVELOPER.” I said WOW! That’s a big news. As I was reading that news, I was mesmerized by the name I saw. It was MISTER CARL ORVILLE MONZON. He became famous, as the news said, when he developed a software fo APPLE CO.
I stopped reading and continued reviewing piles of folders on my table when I saw the news on the television. I saw another familiar face. It was MISS DIANA BARES. She was the newly appointed secretary of the Department of Finance. Then I also saw MISTER PATRICK LOUIE DEANG appointed secretary for Dept. of tourism at his young age. Though he’s still a bachelor. It was also covered by the new that he’s expected to get married next year to one of the actresses turned politician of the country.
I really couldn’t believe that at the first day of my work, I’ll see and hear a lot of good news. I took the remote control to see if there’s a good movie I can watch, but another well known face showed up. Oh my! …..
It was MISS PRINCESS SARAH VILLAN, REPORTING LIVE, CNN! I hurriedly sent her an email to confirm what I saw and received an instant reply. It was really her, an anchor for CNN.
Then, I continue searching for another tv program. It just so happened that someone called up so I bunged scanning the television. I didn’t notice that I stopped on channel 13, which is IBC, when the phone call ended, I was about to change the channel when I saw the name of the Pastor preaching on T.V. It was MISTERNIKOLLAI XANDELL MONTERAS, now a Pastor in his own church which was located in Binan. I watched the coverage of his preaching and I learned his Sunday services are aired weekly. So talking about Highschool life in his preaching he mentioned the that one of his faithful musicians is MISTER JOHN MICHEAL PRUDENCIADO, he has been serving in church for three years now.
