Chapter 2

My eyes stare as we walk, but my mind is thousands of miles away, my head getting fuzzier by the minute."Mona?! Are you okay? You've been spaced out the entire walk to school" Diana frowned looking at me with concern. I wasn't okay, ever since I woke up, my body has been getting hot flashes and a desire. "Diana, I think..I think my Match is near, I can feel it" I whisper stopping my feet.She freezes and looks me in the eyes "B-but you're not 17 yet, you still have like a week or two!" she whispers loudly. "I know..Diana, we need to keep this to ourselves, but if I find him, he can't know until its time okay?" I say, making her promise. After that's over we continue our walk to school, my head fuzzy and filled with cute thoughts. When we arrive I cringe at the kissing couples, those who find their match must be together the first few days, thus thats when there learning ends, when life starts.I sigh, walking with Diana, thank god I had her in most of my classes. I looked around, the guys that could be my Match but then a smell it my nose. Gosh it was one of the most best smells I've ever smelled in the entire world, my Match was near. I wanted to run into the arms of my Match but I couldn't, but I HAD to. My feet carried me all around the building before I couldn't stand the smell anymore. I looked up and there was Jaxon, the smell coming off him so strongly it brought tears to my eyes.

"Diana, you need to grab me and take me away" I hissed looking at him. Once someone sees their Match they MUST get to them, they even might call out in an ancient language to attract them.His eyes met mine, a brow being raised. Diana grabbed my waist, pulling me away, as this was happening I started yelling out in another language to him, I could hear a faint gasp as Diana pulled me away.

"Well dang Mona I guess its true" she breathed out trying to catch her breath outside. "What do I do Diana? He heard me speak! Hes slowly gonna catch on! If we touch he will start the Matching early!" I say quickly sighing. She reaches out and grabs my hand, her finger tracing a circle on my palm "Hey, hey you'll be okay" she smiled pulling me into a hug.

"HEY! POOR GIRL!" I heard a voice call. "Shoot, hes looking for me!" I sighed "Diana, you distract him, I'm gonna climb this tree" I say as I climbed the tree, hiding in the leaves. I look as Jaxon walks towards Diana "Hey you, you were with poor girl yesterday, where is she?" he said quickly, putting his hand behind his neck. "Well for starters her name is MONA and I don't have to tell you anything" she snarled crossing her chocolate brown arms. "Mona.." he mumbled sexily, I let out a soft sigh then put my hands over my mouth."I'm gonna find her just you wait" he smirked walking off. I hopped down from the tree, brushing off my clothes before looking at Diana "Thank you" I smiled hugging her."No problem, but we kinda left our stuff in there and I kinda need it and you kinda do too" she smiled innocently. "Fine, fine" I smiled "But we are quick okay?" I said and she nodded and we snuck back into the building. "Meet back here in 3" I said before running to my locker. I was finished in 2 minutes flat and was taking my time getting back. I looked around the halls, smiling at the quietness before I ran into a familiar figure. Sparks and tingles ran all over my body as hands gripped my arms "Mona.." he mumbled looking at me, his eyes changing into a dark shade. My eyes widen, I open my mouth to speak but another Language comes out instead, Jaxon's eyes get darker and quietly speaking back."N-No no" I hiss pulling away from his grip and I walk away to find Diana "It happened..we touched..hes gonna be like how I was today in a few hours Diana.." I sigh "Could you spend the night? I don't wanna be alone" She nods, hugging me again as we walk towards my sad little house.
