chapter three
As I walk off the final step, into my home town, everyone there was just applauding. I see my family and run to them I embrace them and start to cry. my family of three, my mom and dad, hug me back. I used to have a little brother but he was forced to compete in the minotaur war and, well, lost. My parents took me home and when I got there I went to my room. I sat on my bed then lied down I forgot how comfortable it was. I lay there for a while and I hear a knock at the door and say
"who is it?'
"take a guess"
The person walked in and it was my best friend Luke.
"Luke!" I say as I give him a big hug.
"hey Jamie I missed you"
"I missed you too"
"you wanna head to the usual spot"
"sure" I say.
the usual spot, a giant tree in the middle of the forest near our town. Luke and I hung out under when we where kids and now we climb it and sit on a branch,eat apples,and watch the sun set. Man I missed that so much when I was in the arena. Now him and I are there, in the tree watching the sunset. I missed this so much.
"hey" hey said
"what" I said
" I really missed you, I really missed, this"
"me too"
we turned and looked at each other and just stared into each others eyes. I could tell he wanted to kiss me but I didn't, I don't feel that way. I look away as he leans in.
"what's wrong" he says
"nothing"
"hey what's that on your finger?"
"oh, after I won I got a million dollars and this ring"
"that ring is awesome"
"thanks, it sure is, It fit perfectly"
we look at each other again and giggle for no apparent reason. Our eyes meet again and this time it was really romantic. I could stare into those green eyes forever. The sun disappeared from the sky and the full moon shone light on us and the stars started to shine. He leaned in and we kissed. We kissed for a few more seconds and both of us fell out of the tree.

I woke up from falling out of the tree and everything was sore. Some places hurt more than others. I sit up and I don't see Luke anywhere. I try to stand up and can't my foot hurt to badly.
"you okay?"
I turn around to see Luke standing there.
"Luke! where were you?"
"I was here the whole time, lets get you home"
He helps me up.
"thanks" I say as I put my arm around him. He starts to walk and I hop on one foot.
"hey, about our kiss" I say
"what about it" he says as he looks at me.
I look at him.
"well, I was just wondering how long have you felt that way"
" since the first day I saw you"
"really?"
"yeah"
after he says that we stop and look into each others eyes. I knew we where going to kiss again, I was exited. Then I realized some thing his eyes where violet, dark violet.
