All my life, I've wanted to do something amazing; something legendary. Growing up, I dreamt of fighting pirates and what it would be like to fly. I imagined all of the adventures we would have together.
My grandmother Jane came to America after World War II. She told me about the adventures you had with both her and Wendy. As a child, I believed her stories whole heartedly. Though it may seem strange, I still clung to these tales beyond my childhood. My mother thought they gave me a sense of hope, but what I felt was more than that. I felt connected to them.
Then, one day, the stories stopped. I asked my grandmother why she didn't tell me more about you and it was because there were no more adventures. You disappeared. You never came back for her and so much time had passed that she assumed you grew up. I know now that's false, of course, and that all of this happened for a reason. We were destined to meet. I was destined to go to Neverland.
