Warning: This is purely my personal perception of life. Please bear with me.

One of the most intriguing part of life is to fully understand the purpose of our mere existence. Why am I here? What I am supposed to do? What if I fail or would I even fail? Too many questions to answer, endless even. And yet no one seems to produce an answer agreeable enough. So I guess it's best to settle with a hypothetical answer.

Many say we live to LOVE. We exist because of love. In simple words, my father loved my mother so I exist and therefore I am obliged to also love and so on and so forth. So how then would we classify those who choose not to love? Can we say that they never live at all because they fail with the purpose of life which is hypothetically LOVE. Seriously, there are eunuch out there. You can't just say that! Well, love isn't just about men and women falling for each other. You can always love your job instead, or something else like that. That's true! But then again, if we assume that all the things you love do not exist, can we assume that you fail with the purpose of life? Say a new born baby dies at birth, can we say that he/she failed because he/she was not given a chance love at all? Certainly not! But then why does the baby's birth need to occur? Why?

Some say we live to LEARN. Learning is an endless process that starts at birth and ends with your last breath. True, every moment gives us something to ponder, something to think about. But is it enough to conclude that learning is our life's goal? I guess not. We can always use the dead baby example to contradict this. Some are just born even without seeing, knowing or meeting the world. The illiterate lives. Even those in comatose lives, so why? Why are they here? What is the purpose?

Endless propositions and guesses. But what is the answer to this crisis? What is point that I missed, that we all missed? What is the purpose of life? Why do we have to live?

Alas, I found the answer. I do not live for myself. I do not exist to satisfy my desires nor to please myself with what the world may offer. But I live for the others to see me for who I am. Like the dead baby, he/she exist for the ones who need to love, learn and live. We exist so that others will love, learn and exist. No matter who you are, you matter for the others you need to meet and for the strangers you need to touch. You live your life for others to live theirs. No man is an island. Someone needs you.
