Willa was terrified. Well, more like shocked.

Not only was she standing in her new dorm - which was terrifying in itself - but there was a boy standing there with her. A boy. The whole concept of it was scary. She knew the campus was unisex, she just wasn't aware that the dorms were also gender-neutral, and she was beginning to think she might have to file a complaint.

"Hi!" Willa visibly flinched at the sound of his voice, clutching the large cardboard box in her arms a little tighter. The man-child was pretty much the height of a giraffe, maybe even taller, with disproportionately long arms and legs, and his blonde hair made him seem even taller. He was dressed in an old flannel and black skinny jeans. "You must be Willow! I'm Luke!" He went to hold out his hand for a handshake, but then noticed the large box in her arms and pulled his arms back, his smile seeming to never end.

"Actually it's just Willa," she corrected nervously, scared at how close she was to this total stranger.

He dismissed her, seeming to zone out as soon as she spoke. "It's so nice to meet you Willow, do you have any more boxes? You must have more boxes, do you want me to help bring them up?" She was kind of creeped out at how nice he was.

"That's still not my name, but um no thanks," she didn't want to say anything, but she actually really needed someone to push up her glasses for her before they could slide down her nose.

"Oh come on, you can't possibly take all of your boxes up here by yourself - Hey Susan! Susan look, Willow is here." He smiled proudly, showing all of his teeth as if he were a five-year-old who was showing off a trophy. A girl had just stepped out of the impossibly small bathroom and Willa gave an immediate sigh of relief at the sight of a female - this girl was probably her roommate, not the weird man-child. Thank God.

"I thought her name was Willa," Susan said monotonously, giving Willa a once up-and-down before turning to the bed beside her and picking up a satchel, slinging it over her shoulder. Susan had the whole 'punk-rock-goth-chick' look down to an art with her black lipstick, choker necklace, fishnet stockings, combat boots and ripped denim shorts. Willa was kind of scared of her, because hell, she was so intimidating.

"It is," Willa confirmed, trying to smile but failing horribly.

Susan grabbed a ten dollar note from a table by the bed and shoved it into the boy's back pocket, making him giggle and her roll her brown eyes. Willa figured they must be a couple.

"Ok, well you can get yourself sorted while we're not here. My stuff is already on this side but if you have some weird OCD you can move my shit while Luke and I are out." Willa immediately dropped the box onto the bed beside her, rubbing her aching arms and shoving her glasses back up onto her face.

Susan tugged on Luke's elbow to drag him out of the room, but he halted by the door, not letting Susan pull him the full way out. "Are you coming?" He asked, glancing over his shoulder at Willa, with that smile that seemed to last forever. She shook her head quickly, looking at the cardboard box and then the squeaky bed it laid on. She winced at the thought of unpacking all of it. Luke shrugged, laughing through his nose. "If you say so. Laters, Will Smith."

Although the door had slammed shut, Willa could still hear his loud laughter down the hallway and Susan's hisses for him to shut up.

It kind of scared the shit out of Willa to think that that was her roommate. And her boyfriend. She glanced at Susan's side of the wall and cringed when she noticed what was hanging on the white wall. Posters. Tons and tons of posters. There were so many of them you couldn't even tell what colour was the wall under it. Willa had never heard of most bands before in her life, but she did recognise Kurt Cobain on the ginormous poster in the middle of all the other posters. It was so big and well printed that it made Willa uncomfortable, and for a minute it felt like Paper Kurt was staring straight at her.

Hopefully Susan wasn't one of those weird druggies who practice dark magic and try to bring Cobain back to life. At this point, she didn't think she'd be surprised.

The brunette opened her boxes, and a wave of laziness ran over her. She sighed and took her sheets out.

After what felt like a whole entire eternity, she was finally done with unpacking. She was quite pleased at how organised she's managed to make things, although she was certain it wouldn't even last two weeks. She was just really hoping that Susan won't judge her for her Hello Kitty duvet (it's the only one she could get ahold of) and also for the Maze Runner poster she had hung up just over her bed. She had plenty of other Maze Runner posters, she was just too frightened to set them up. So she left them in her closet, along with her Newt and Thomas cardboard cut-out.

Susan's side of the room was a complete mess. Half of her stuff still had to be unpacked, and clothes were already dumped around her side of the room. Never had Willa seen anything this messy considering she liked everything nice and tidy.

Willa snatched a dietetic multi-cereal bar from the box under her bed and unwrapped it, then took a bite out of it. She turned her laptop on and sat down on her bed with her PC on her lap. She hadn't logged onto Wattpad in a while, and she was glad she finally had the time to do stuff.

She went onto her account and left a message on her wall, hoping as many followers as possible will see it.

Hey guys, I haven't got a chance to write anything in the past few days, and I'm really sorry, but I have my reasons. The first one is that I am now at university (!!) and the second one is that... Actually there isn't a second reason. I will definitely keep on writing though, keep an eye open!

Willa figured she would probably have to start writing again soon, but she was just so tired after the exhausting experience today, she didn't know if she could. So she vowed to do it the next day, as she pushed her laptop onto her desk and threw the protein bar's wrapper into the small metal trash can by the door.
