Lottie's P.O.V:
'But dad... I'll be fine! I'm 17 for gods sake!' I screamed down the phone.
'No Lottie, I've made my decision, you will leave tomorrow in the morning, make sure your bags are packed, see you tomorrow Lottie!' the other end of the line, my dad, answered.
'Ugh, fine! Bye dad, see you tomorrow!' I groaned, before hanging up.
Why did dad make my life difficult. I was perfectly fine living in America with my best friend, Evie, but he wants me to move to England, to live with him.
I really don't want to, I prefer living in America, it's more like home than England. England was like a stranger country to me.
Ever since me and mum moved away from England, away from him, he's never been in contact with me, not once. Not to say he missed me, not to say happy birthday, nothing! So why, all of a sudden, does he want me to live with him?
My phone buzzed in my hand, and I looked down at the lit up screen.
'From: Unknown Number
Hi Lottie, this is Dad. If you don't have my number, save it.
Tomorrow, at the airport, I will be there to pick you up at exactly 12:30 midday.
Your flight is at 4 am tomorrow morning, sorry its so early. See you tomorrow, Love Dad x x'
I smiled slightly, and quickly saved his number, before texting him back.
'Hi Dad, yeah, I've just saved your number. And ok, I'll see you tomorrow x love Lottie xx'
I placed my phone on the side, and got out of bed. It was 10:00 am and my dad had just woke me up by ringing me.
I made my bed, and then walked into the bathroom.
I stripped my clothes off, and jumped in the shower, turning it on in the process.
The water soothed the scars on my wrists and legs. Yeah, that's right, when my mum first died, 2 months a go, I started cutting. When I ran out of room on my wrists, I moved to my thighs, and started cutting there instead. That's why I hardly wear dresses, because even though the scars have faded, they're still there, and they haven't gone just yet.
I started singing softly to myself, smiling the whole time I washed my hair.
'Hey girl I'm waiting on ya, I'm waiting on ya
Come on and let me sneak you out
And have a celebration, a celebration
The music up, the windows down
Yeah, we'll be doing what we do
Just pretending that we're cool and we know it too
Yeah, we'll keep doing what we do
Just pretending that we're cool, so tonight
Let's go crazy, crazy, crazy 'till we see the sun
I know we only met but let's pretend it's love
And never, never, never stop for anyone
Tonight let's get some and live while we're young
Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
Tonight let's get some
And live while we're young-'
'Lottie, hurry up!' I heard Evie yell through the bathroom door.
I stopped singing, and turned the shower off, stepped out, and grabbed a towel, wrapping it around me.
