It's Not Always Sunshine and Rainbows

  "Look there he is again!" I cry over the table. He was indeed. Jeff the Killer beconned Jeff over to him. I tugg at his sleeve. "Don't go over there!" Jeff ignored me and sighed. I can't believe Jeff was going to become such a monster! Ben looks worried, Liu looks even more worried. Jeff starting walking over to us. "What did he want?" Asked Ben. "Just said hello." Jeff murmered. Liu raised his eyebrows. "Yeah. Sure..."

I started walking out with Jeff. "Hey, where the hell is Liu?" I wonder. "Not sure... Let's check his classroom." He suggested. We walked along into Liu's gradehall when I see Jeff stop ahead. "LIU?! WHAT THE HELL?!" I walked into the room and screamed. Jeff covered my mouth. Standing there was a group of at least 9 or 10 boys about Liu's age standing around him. Liu was bloody, beaten and covered in bruises. Liu gestured to us to leave immediately, I turned to go, but Jeff grabbed hold of me. The boys started walking towards us, and there was nothing we could do... That was the moment I passed out.

I woke to the sound of Jeff crying. He and Liu were both covered in blood. "Shh! Jeff, crying about this won't help!" Liu soothed. The torn 10 year old soon calmed down, but he soon started shaking. That moment Ben walked in the room must've been awkward for him - me lying on the floor looking extremely pale, Jeff crying his soul out, covered in blood and Liu, also lying on the floor covered in blood. "H-have I missed something?" Ben asked. "Nope. You missed absolutely nothing! It was like time stopped itself!" I joked. We quickly ran to the Security Room to delete the footage of the fight off the cameras. "Good job that's done..." Liu sighed.

I walked home with Jeff and Liu because we live on the same estate. I turn to walk away when Jeff and Liu's mom calls out to me. "Hey, Little Miss Lexie! I thought you were staying for a sleepover?" Oh yes! I remember now! "Oh yes. Eheheh... Silly me!" I chirp. She playful rolled her eyes at me and I wander inside. The moment I step in the door, the smell of chicken kievs hit my nose, aswell as a nerf gun bullet... "Hey who did that?" I shout, rubbing my nose. "Better but some frozen peas on that, or you'll end up like Rudolph!" It was Ben. "Wow." I say chucking it back at him. "Woahah!" Ben yelled. "Dinner's ready!" I sat at the table at the wrong time... - Jeff was running down stairs like a torpedo, and jumped on my shoulders, making me knock my drink over. "Wha-HEY!" Jeff snorts at my wail of defeat and sits down.

I rush home and grab my stuff before my mum can see me - she hates me and I'd do absolutely ANYTHING to get away from her! Then I run back to Jeff and Liu's house. I flonk my sleeping bag in Jeff's room and lie down. Jeff was already asleep, snoring loudly. I close my eyes, and it soon fades to morning...
I feel a pillow land (quite hard!) on my face. I cough into it and it leaves me. Then after 3 seconds, it comes down again... "HEY LEXIE WAKE UPPPPP!!!!" It's Jeff. He's running around like a madman. "YOU STILL HAVE TO GET READY FOR SCHOOL!" Wait - that's not Jeff... IT WAS MY MUM! What the hell is she doing here?! "GET UP YOU LITTLE-" I knew she was about to insult me, but something cut her off... A policeman? I must be dreaming... I rub my eyes and see more clearly. My mum was screaming with   a policeman clinging on to her, hands handcuffed. "Mum!" I don't know why but I feel terrified! I don't like my mum but I can't live without her! "THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!" She screams at my face. "Kid, she's abusing you. It's against the law. I'm sorry but this woman's goin' to the slammer." The policeman told me. My tears burn my cheeks... how could this be happening? It just doesn't make any sense! They shoot off in the police car and Margret puts her hands on my shoulders. "Come inside dear..."

I sit down at the table. I feel dreadfully sick. Jeff is standing in the kitchen, jaw gaping open. "What the?!" Liu walks down stairs. I guess he'd just woken up. "What happened? Why is Lexie crying?" Great now I have to embrace the story again. "I'M NOT CRYING!! I'm-... Ok... I'm crying...BUT I JUST SAW MY MUM GET PUT IN JAIL!" I wail. "I thought you hated her?" Liu shrugged his shoulders and the doorbell rings. Liu opened the door. "Oh hi, Helen." Helen Otis. My brother, best friend and best drawing companion. "Hi..." I rush up and hug him and he hugs me. "You saw what happened I take it?" He asked. I nodded my head. "She didn't like the fact of you here for the night, believe it or not she was worried about you..." My heart pounds in my throat, I once again burst into tears. I then hear the front door open again - it was Lizzie, my twin (though she dyed her hair baby pink). I rush up to hug her. "Where will we live?" She asks Helen. "Not sure..." He looked miserable. I hug him and Lizzie. "W-well..." Margaret begun. "You could always live here?" I gasp and our faces light up. "YES! THANK YOU SO MUCH! OH WE WILL FINALLY HAVE A FAMILY THAT LOVES US!" I squeal. I hug Jeff and Liu, who go a deep shade of red, and rush over to hug Margaret. She chuckled and we ran over to get our stuff. "Wait... where will we sleep?" Helen asked. There was an awkward silence. "Oh.. didn't think about that..." Margaret sighed. "Helen, come help us get the beds!" Lizzie called from the doorstep. I grab his arm and we scoot over. We eventually manage to get all the beds into the living room, and eat breakfast. I eat mine so fast I get indegestion... Hehe... Oh well! I flop down on the sofa with a hot water bottle on my stomach, and smiled. My life was going great I guess!
