One month ago...

   The sound of taping on a desk came from beside me, my friend Jake was anxious to get out of school. He turned towards me and tapped on my shoulder.
"Hay, dude..." Jake whispered to me
"What" I whispered back angrily
"School is almost ove-" the school bell had cut him off. I reached for my binder and waited for Jake to catch up. We went to our lockers and gathered our things so we could leave.
"Hay, Lewis I know a shortcut to get home" Jake said excitedly.
"NO, not after what happened to me the last shortcut" I said swiftly avoiding a branch in the path.
"I said I was sorry about that, and besides it will be fun" Jake said trying to sound like he had higher authority than me.
"Fine..."
I said trying not to sigh to loudly.
"YES" he yelled, I twitched due to the fact I was right next to him.
"You won't regret it" he said very confidently.
"I'm already regretting it" I thought to my self as we took the left turn to get to the shortcut.
