The comfort of home may seem a peaceful place for the rest of the family, but it was just another place to be for me. My workplace was in my own room. Complete isolation for a hard-working loner. Not only did I feel the isolation, but I kept this feeling away from the knowledge of others. I hardly shared much talk with them. I would send them a smile and when one asks about my day, I give them a reply like: "Pretty-good-just-a-bunch-of-homework-and-yours?" Often someone at the table would speak up, then after a long explanation of events, we began with "the parents cook and then children clean" as usual, like they say in either house. If I told my parents about the load of work I have to finish up, a small compromise could be made in place. However, not all times could I go on being "all-work-no-play" Sabrina, when I have three needy siblings now wanting me to play with them.
