Chapter 4: Death

Quick note:
Okay so I hope everyone who is reading this enjoys it. The cover was changed to a picture of Andy Biersack and his girlfriend. He was surely and inspiration for Kenneth. My inspiration for Leia has  no answer yet. I've visioned her as myself for now, but it's not exactly fitting. When I describe her more i'll tell you. I've enjoyed writing this. Xoxoxo

Kenneth put his arm around my waist. My heart fluttered. What was happening to me? Grace shook her head and walked away with Bridget and Nadya. They all seemed shocked. I looked up at Kenneth who still in these heels was taller than me. Something rare for my height of 5'7. I wrapped my arm around his back pulling him into a hug. His warmth was comforting and I needed it. I had no idea what people were thinking. I walked to my first class with him in silence.
"See you later." He said before walking away. Something in his expression was off.

Walking into the class room I saw Grace I went and sat down next to her like normal. She cleared her throat and looked at me.
"Um... Hi?" She said,
"Hey." I sighed smiling at her.
"Okay... Are you going to tell me why you showed up to school with a gang?!"
"I... Erm... Missed my bus. Kenneth offered me a ride home and I kind of... Slept over." I lied slightly. Not sure what I could and could not tell her.
"OH MY WORD! YOU DID WHAT?!" She yelled attracting the whole entire classes' attention.
"They really aren't as bad as everyone puts them out to be." I whispered.
"Yes, but-" I cut her off.
"Look, don't worry i'll be fine." She shook her head,
"Of course i'm going to worry. Are you and Kenneth a thing?" She asked and winked.
"Umm. What? No..." I scoffed at the idea. He was just the only friendly one there. Other than Stephanie.
"You don't hug someone like that unless you have a thing with them Leia. " she giggled.
"Whatever." I turned and ignored the rest of what she said. Trying to pay attention to what was being written on the board. The bell sounded and I dodged Grace and ran to my next class. I waited patiently until lunch.

When lunch came I started to walk towards my normal table after getting a salad when Chase cut me off,
"Boss says you have sit with us." He smiled. I nodded and rolled my eyes out of habit. Chase showed me the way to the round table they all sat at. Kenneth gestured for me to sit next to him. I gladly did smiling as I sat. Chase shuffled next to me on the other side. Kenneth glared at him and pulled me by my waist away from him. I blushed,
"You know... You're really cute when you do that." He whispered pushing back my hair.
"Do what?" I asked, blushing harder.
"Blush!" He teased putting his arm back around my waist.
I scoffed, what was I doing? These people just said they would kill me. No I don't believe that. They wouldn't have killed me. They're all so... Normal. Not what you'd expect.
"Kenneth?" I asked looking up into his eyes. He batted his lashes, making fun of me.
"Yes?" He asked.
"Can I talk to you... Somewhere more private?" I poked my head toward the salad bar. He laughed,
"Yeah... Sure." We stood up, his arm still around my waist. Eyes staring,
"Is it just me, or are you flirting?" I came right out and asked.
"Aren't you?" He winked,
"I mean... Sure maybe." I said blushing again.
"You have to stop that or I might just kiss you." He laughed. My face got bright red I could feel it burning. Then he grabbed my chin and brought my lips to his. This kiss only lasted a second and I pulled him in a buried my face in his chest right after. Sure, I had kissed boys before in middle school, but what was that compared to this. There was no gross drool, or chapped lips, no braces. I smiled and laughed into his chest.
"You know you kind of asked for it." He pulled me away to look in his eyes.
"Yeah, like I can control when the blood flows to my face." I spat.
"Ahh... Okay. Sorry, then." He looked down.
"Kiss me again." I said. He looked up and grabbed my shoulder and pulled me in for a longer kiss. This time I could here gasps. I could swear one person even clapped. My laughing broke the kiss. Just then Kenneth's phone buzzed. He ripped it from his pocket and made a dark face. He looked down at me,
"You stay here with your friends." He smiled a smile that never touched his eyes.
"What? Where are you going?"
"It doesn't matter." He began to walk back to the table. I grabbed his arm,
"I'm coming." I said tightening my lips into a thin line. He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose with his finger,
"Fine, but just stay in the car no matter what."
"C'mon." Kenneth said to all of them and we began to walk out of the school. We just walked out the teachers not saying anything. I was completely taken back by that. The limo was waiting for us and we all jumped in. Everyone was silent. When we reached our destination Kenneth jumped up and pressed a button by the window. A large case rose up from the floor of the car. He put in a combination and inside was an assortment of guns and weapons. They all grabbed one. Even Stephanie and Mackenzie grabbed small guns. Kenneth grabbed a small hand gun and handed it to me. He had a huge shotgun in his other hand.
"I don't know how to use a gun." I shivered. What did I get myself into?
"Just push back the trigger. You probably won't have to use it, but if anyone comes to the car." He kissed me.
"It's okay Leia, Mackenzie and I cover the car, and David will be up front." Stephanie grinned. Mackenzie rolled her eyes and reached over to Kenneth. She pulled him and whispered something in his ear. He nodded and jumped out of the car. A couple minutes passed and I could here gunfire. I cringed.
"What's happening?" I looked over to Stephanie.
"Business." Mackenzie scoffed, laughing. Then Steph gasped jumping out of the car with Mackenzie. I heard shooting. I ducked below the window, hiding. Thats when it broke, glass shattering. I shut my eyes. Somebody grabbed my arm yanking me out the window. The spare glass scratching from my shoulder to my ankle. I opened my eyes to see a masked face yanking me on my feet.
"Get the hell off of her!" I heard Kenneth's voice and then darkness. My vision went black.
