(Modern Time)

Eren's POV

Levi and I had been going out for 2 years as of today. We met back during our last year of high school where he'd call me brat on the daily. I confessed to him sometime during spring at the end of our last year, we'd been growing closer and been together since. Today I would be taking him out to the shops for cleaning supplies... Yes, cleaning supplies. Simply put, he loves them, he loves cleaning. In fact, he loves it so much I can't tell if he loves it more then me... Probably does.

I rolled over on the bed to see the small, raven haired man I called my lover curled up next to me. Adorable as ever. "Levi..." I wrapped my arms lazily around his small yet muscular build, attacking him with small kisses on his face. This was our usual wake up routine for one another. We began doing it after moving into a small apartment near our work place, Maria Studios. "Levi... Wake up... Or I'll jump you..." He let out a small and cute growl of annoyance in reply as he nuzzled into my chest. I suppose today just isn't his day for waking up. I grazed my teeth against his jaw causing him to grab at my own jaw.

"Oi..." He had giant bag under his eyes, but they quickly disappeared from sight as he went back to his previous position. 'I suppose I'll have to use the trick up my sleeve...'

I sighed out, whispering seductively into Levi's ear "I'll take you to buy as many cleaning supplies as you'd like..."

It was unbelievable at the speed he sat up that our heads almost made contact, and not in a good way. "You're not tricking me are you...?" He seemed annoyed at me, and himself for getting up. He lifted the duvet, wriggling his way out of bed, naked. 'Such a nicely toned ass...' I ended up staring at his ass as he left, trudging off towards the bathroom. I suppose that changed to a rhetorical question.

Levi had showered and changed into a pair of black jeans that fit his ass nicely, a white t-shirt and a casual black vest. "The shower is free..." He commented walking to sit on the bed, ruffling his wet raven hair with a towel.

"Then I'll be just a moment." I wriggled my own way out of bed, naked. We preferred to sleep together skin on skin most nights, or we were too tired to put even a piece of clothing back on after a bit of fun. I walked into the steamy bathroom and locked the door. I stumbled on my feet and my head swayed, it began to feel like someone was hitting me in the back of the head. Images of unrecognisable bodies and pools of blood flashed in my mind, almost like a past experience. I wobbled my way over to the sink and splashed my face with cold water and shook my head. It stopped. What was it? I shook my head once more, trying to pass over the thought.

"Levi~" I walked out of the bathroom, with a spring in my step. "Happy anniversary~" I handed him a bottle of windex, wrapped in a silver bow to match his eyes. Normally people would give flowers or chocolates on anniversaries, but knowing how obsessed Levi was with hygiene and cleaning materials, I decided to give him something different. He had a, what seemed to be, happy look on his face.

He took the windex from my hands as I held it out. "You weren't tricking me from what you said before, were you?" He questioned.

"Of corse not! I planned the whole day, shopping and then we're going for dinner!" I kept one thing secret, Hanji had planned another random surprise party for tonight. It was usual for her, telling one half of the couples and making them keep it a secret from their lovers. I was enthusiastic about this. Last year Levi had taken the lead and we redecorated our entire apartment, not that I didn't enjoy it.

"When do we leave?" He seemed ecstatic about my plan, although it would be hard to see from anyone else's view.

I looked at the time on my phone 1:30pm. "Ah, right now would be good..." We had slept longer then I had planned. "We should get some late lunch on the way, too." I added, my stomach making a grumbling noise, agreeing with me.

We grabbed our jackets, pulling them on and locked the apartment. Levi preferred us to take the stairs out of fear, which I didn't mind if we weren't carrying heavy things since we were only on the third floor up and not near the top half. We got to the bottom, exiting the doors and feeling the cold breeze brush against our revealed skin.

There was a nice street food place around the corner from the apartment building which sold hot chips, ice-cream, sorbet, crepes, amazing doughnuts and drinks. It was basically a hole in the wall with a kitchen. We'd usually buy a half a dozen box of doughnuts once in a while for a movie night.

"2 cookie dough doughnuts and a large chips, please." I requested the cashier who seemed to be a new worker. We went there regularly enough that the owners and most of the staff knew us. We revived a wave from one of the chefs and both waved back.

"$9 please." The soft voiced cashier requested as I handed the money through. It wasn't a really well known place, but those who found it always came back for their crapes and doughnuts, even bringing friends most of the time. We received our change and food, leaving with a wave and a thanks.

Levi's eyes seemed to sparkle as we were edging closer to the store. I have a feeling we're going to leave with more then a years supply of bleach and windex. Which was fine, as long as I could make him happy. We ate our food faster then we thought we would, before the store was even in view.

As soon as it was, Levi walked at a faster pace. He rushed straight to the cleaning easel. He filled his arms with sponges, windex, bleach, windex and a few brooms, dropping some in the process. Knowing this would happen, I caught up to him with a trolly, which was hailed on by cleaning products. From fabric softeners to mop heads.

"That's $246, sir." Levi's eyes were glowing once we had hit the check out, not caring for prices. We had been staring at cleaning supplies for around 2 hours. Well, more me playing Love Live, Dumb Ways To Die, watching anime or checking social media on my phone as Levi stared in awe of cleaning supplies.

We called a taxi, unable to carry the supplies ourselves, to take us back. "Ah, Levi, after dinner I have a surprise for you..."
