Tumblr Romance

Chapter 2

Phil comes home with more bags he left with as his family gave him some presents and he brought some new clothes for the upcoming meetings him and Dan have. As he gets through the door he wonders where Dan is a part of him hoping he hasn't just sat in the same place for the whole day but he also starts to worry that he's worked himself to hard as Dan was already under too much pressure. He goes into the living room seeing that Dan has left his laptop and many cups of coffees on the sofa and the table. He wonders where Dan, but hears the faint noise of the piano coming from Dan's room. Secretly Phil has always loved hearing Dan play the piano, but he has noticed that it hasn't been as frequent lately than it has been in recent months. So instead of interrupting him he just sits by Dan's door listening him play.

While listening to the song Dan is playing, Phil realises that it's not only the first song he played when they moved to London but it's also the first piece he played to Phil when they first started to talk all those years ago. Phil starts to think how he met Dan he remembers seeing Dan on camera for the first time and how he could see how nervous Dan was, but Phil remembers falling instantly in love with Dan the first time he laid eyes on the deep brown eyes and the cute smile of Dan that shows off his dimples. Phil smiles stupidly.

He listens to the music, he starts to daydream about Dan and how he wishes that he knew how he felt about him. Phil starts to wonder what life would be like if Dan knew how he felt years ago when they first met and about how that would of shaped what their life is. Phil is suddenly woken from his daydream when he notices that the piano playing has stopped. Phil starts to get up and head for the kitchen but then hears the muffled sounds of crying from Dan's room. Phil starts to panic that something has happened bad, he decides to go to Dan's room and sees whats wrong.

He quietly knocks on the door to let Dan know  that he is coming. Both boys have done this before, comforting the each other when they are sad or scared. But Phil is always scared that Dan will shout at him or just push him away. Phil walks into Dan's room, he first notices how horrendously messy the room is but he also notices Dan curled up under hs duvet in his room. He goes to the bed and and gets under the cover and hugs Dan. Even though Phil has no idea what is wrong with Dan or why he is is crying like he is but Phil has the urge to protect him from whatever is making him sad. What he doesn't know is that he is the one making Dan cry and ge sad. Phil notices Dans breathing has slowed down and his cry has turned into no more than a hiccup now and then, Phil stays awake until he knows Dan is asleep.

Phil slowly peels himself from Dan and then quietly exits Dan's room and heads to his own room. He gets into bed and scrolls through Tumblr for a while before himself getting tired and slowly falls asleep.
