"Honestly you disgust me, with your weakness and flawed perception of character" she drawled, her voice dull. Manon locked her eyes onto her grandmother's, but remained silent. "You really think moping about and sulking will make me go away any faster?" The matron said. This time, Manon spoke. "You and I both know the answer to that. So now tell me why you're here, and we can both get back to our petty little lives and ignore each other again. " she scorned. The Matron didn't so much as flinch.
"I'm here to tell you that the fire breathing bitch queen; Aelin has set foot in that shithole of a continent of Terrasan. Since that pathetic and shameful time you stumbled like an idiot and let yourself be beaten by a 19 year old Demi fae, she seems to think she can use you like a personal pet."

Manon set her jaw and remained silent. With that, her grandmother turned and walked out of the door. "You, are a weakness" she called over her shoulder.
