Brian was working in the back of Tej's garage when he heard Rome calling for him.

"What is it?" He asked wiping the grease off his hands with a towel.

"You got a visitor," Rome said moving aside. Brian recognized her right away.

"Letty?" He asked confused.

"Hey cop," she said sounding only a little irritated.

"I'm not a cop anymore."

"Yeah, whatever. Well anyways, I need you to do me a favor," she said nervously.

"Yeah? What's that?"

She pulled in a stroller and said, "I need you to take care of my baby."

"What?!"

"I want you to take my baby."

"Why!?"

"Because...it's also Dom's baby, and I know he can't take care of her. She'll be better off with you." Letty said holding back tears.

"Does Dom even know!?" Brian asked.

"No. And he can't. That's why I'm asking you. Please take care of her. I'll come back as often as I can, but I can't take care of her completely." Letty said.

"Why me?! I mean, I thought you hated me." Brian said.

"I did, but I knew that this was for the best. You the one who is most qualified to take care of her." Letty explained.

"What about Leon? Jesse? Vince? What about Mia?! She'd be great." He asked.

"Well, Leon can barely take care of himself, let alone a baby, Jesse would be way too nervous with this ADD shit, Vince had become an alcoholic, and Mia..." She trailed off.

"What about Mia?" He asked. He was still in love with Mia, and was still concerned about her.

"It's nothing." Letty assured him.

"Letty, what about Mia?" He asked. Letty could tell he really cared.

"Mia, she hasn't been the same. I mean, Leon and Jesse moved back to la, but all Mia does is cook, clean, eat, and sleep. And they say that she barely ever talks anymore, and spends most of her time in her room, so, I don't think she could take care of my baby."

"Why is she like that?" Brian asked.

"You know why."

Brian looked at his feet. He knew it was because of him. He felt bad that he had caused Mia so much pain, especially since he loved her.

"Brian, please take her." Letty pleaded.

After some more convincing, Brian finally said, "Fine. I'll take her."

"Thank you so much. This was my last option, and I know you'll take good care of her."

"Yeah, I'll do my best."

"Good enough for me," Letty said. She went over to the stroller and picked up her baby and said, "Hey baby. It's your mom. I'm gonna have to go away for a while, but uncle Brian is gonna take care of you. But don't worry, I'll be back soon." She kissed her daughter's head before passing her off to Brian.

Letty turned to leave when Brian said, "What do I call her?"

"Tessa. Her name is Tessa."
