Your eyes snapped open, causing your vision to be blurry at first.
You groaned as you sat up, but that was when you noticed something.
You. Were. Under. Water.
You quickly scrambled about, ignoring the fact that you could easily breath just moments ago.
You then felt something grab your shoulders, forcing you to turn around.
"Breath dumbass!" The familiar voice of Levi shouts.
You shake your head, giving him a look that said, 'are you fucking crazy!'.
He grew a tick mark on his forehead, before he hit your back, hard. Causing you to gasp out.
Your eyes immediately widen as you realize that you could actually breath underwater.
But, as you went to use your legs, something felt different, they felt a lot more difficult to move.
You looked at your legs, and you would've screamed too, if it weren't for the fact that Levi slammed his hand over your mouth.
"Before you start to freak out, let me explain." He hissed, and you nodded your head obediantly.
"You died, and the only way to bring you back to life was to make you a mermaid, okay?" Levi explained, as he cautiously lifted his hand off of your mouth.
You didn't say anything, just stared at him.
But, the longer you stared at him, you noticed that he kept getting more anxious.
"Is that all?" You finally ask.
Levi's eyes widen, before he asked "What do you mean, 'is that all?'
"Well, I'm not really upset about it." You say, scratching the back of your head.
"Huh?" Levi deadpanned.
"Well, you had a good reason to do so, right?" You say, smiling.
The next thing you know, you felt Levi hit the top of your head, with his fist.
"Owie, what's that for?" You whine.
"Your a dumbass!" He shouts.
"Why, what did I do!?" You shout back.
Levi just clicked his tounge, before turning around, his back facing you.
"You fucking died, and you treat this as nothing. Do you even know how much pain you put me through?" Levi says, and you could've sworn, that his voice cracked.
Your eyes widen a bit, before giving a soft smile.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to make you worry. I just wanted to protect the one I love." You say gently.
You saw Levi's head perk up a bit.
"Say that again." He said, still not facing you.
"What? 'Sorry, I didn't mean to make you worry'." You ask.
"No, the other part." He says, still refusing to turn towards you.
"Oh, 'I just wanted to protect the one I love'." You say again.
"Once more, and I might consider forgiving you." He says.
You smirk, as an idea comes to mind.
"How about I do this instead." You say, as Levi turned his head towards you.
But, before he could utter a single word, you kissed him.
His eyes widen a moment, but he kisses you back.
As both of you lean back, you say "Am I forgiven yet?"
"Hmmm, no." He says, and pulls you into another kiss, but this one was more passionate then the previous one.
You smile into the kiss.
"How about now?" You ask.
"Yeah, as long as your okay, then I'll forgive you." Levi muttered, as he buries his head into the crook of your neck.
You smile, as you put one arm around his waist, as you use your free hand to pet the back of his head.
"I'm okay, thanks to you." You say.
You and Levi stayed like that for a while, and you would've stayed in that position, if it weren't for a certain loud woman.
"(FFFFFFF/NNNNNNN)!!!!!!" Hanji shouts from outside, what looked to be an underwater cave.
You and Levi broke apart, as Hanji swims in, and tackles you into a hug.
"H-Hanji.....c-can't breath." You say as Hanji gives you a bone crushing hug.
"Oops, sorry." Hanji says, chuckling as she rubs her neck.
You then sense a murderous intent, coming from behind Hanji.
You look and saw that Levi had a deadly aura around him.
"What is it you want, shitty brat." Levi hisses.
"Eh, was I interrupting something?" Hanji asks innocently.
You went to open your mouth to deny it, but Levi beat you to it.
"Yes, now get out." He says dangerously low.
Hanji sweat drops, before swimming out as fast as she could, so that she would avoid getting butchered by Levi.
"That wasn't very nice, ya'know." You say, sweat dropping.
"Tch, I don't fucking care." Levi hisses.
You chuckle nervously, as you went beside Levi.
"So, I guess I have to learn about being a mermaid now, huh." You say smiling.
"Tch, you take things too lightly." Levi says, but as you went to look at him, you saw something that shocked you.
He was smiling.
It was genuine, and filled with love and happiness.
You let out a laugh as you say, "Maybe so."
But, that was when you remembered something.
"Oh, that reminds me." You say.
"What is it?" He asks.
"Well, when I died, I saw my father, and he wanted me to give you a message." You say.
"And that would be?" He asks, raising an eyebrow.
"He said, 'If he finds out that you hurt me, he's gonna haunt your sorry ass to death'." You saw Levi pale a bit as you say this.
"But, don't worry, my dad may be a bit overprotective, but he's also fair." You say as you hug him.
"But, that doesn't mean that you will be safe from his wrath later." You whisper in his ear.
You pulled back, and saw that Levi had risen an eyebrow.
"Why is that?" He questions.
"Because, I always wanted a family, and to become a complete family, we're gonna need kids." You say smiling innocently, while Levi blushed a deep red.
"You're very perverted." Levi huffed, as he smiles.
"But, I also want a family." He says, as he gives you a loving kiss.
But, unaware to you that in the next three years, both of your wishes will come true.
