"Morning sis!" Lucas called. " Morning!" I called. "You guys ready for school?" Our mom asked. It was the first day of school. And of middle school. " Riley! Here's your bag." Lucas said handing me my bag. " Thanks!" I replied. I was not very happy that Lucas hound the bag. I didn't want to go to school. At all. I got my phone and I walked to school. When I got to school they asked my name. I said Riley Matthews. They found me and gave me my schedule. I waited for Lucas. " Lucas friar." He said. Everyone asked why he had a different last name. But we don't know either. Auggie has the same last name as me. Me and Lucas are twins but we don't even look alike or have the same last name. I walked into school and found my home room. I was the third one there. In the room there was a girl and a boy. I sat down next to the girl. " Hi I'm Riley!" I said. " Sup. I'm Maya." She said back . We talked for a little. More people came in. Finally the teacher came in. He said a big speech and then he let us go. Maya and I had third period, fifth period and second. We said bye and I went to my next class. At the end of the day I got a text it was from my mom. I read it out loud "See you in a hour!" I quickly ran to Maya. " Do you have an hour?" I said catching my breath. I explained the text. "Sure." Maya said "You can come to my house. My mom is at work but you can come." "Ok!" Maya's house was small. Two bedrooms, one bathroom, a kitchen, and a living room. When it was time for me to go we said bye and I left. It was 6:00 when I left. I thought why is Maya's mom not here. And why did she not eat. Finally when I got home I told Lucas what happened. He said he would help figure it out. Time passed me and Lucas both went to bed. I really wonder about Maya.
