I don’t think anybody’s actually reading this but, I will keep doing it any way. Wow, I didn’t think it was that long since I had uploaded, I was wrong. By a long-shot….
Chapter 3
It all started when I was 16, I was different, I always was. I always knew that I could never be ‘normal’, but that day had changed the amount of ‘normal’ I could be, by a lot. Unlike most popular stories I always read, nothing happened on my birthday or even the day after that or after that, instead it was on the 21st of December, the last day I would ever go to school.
I woke up feeling the sudden pull scream at me, tell me to go where I felt the safest. I went towards the lake, the mass of water invited me, accepting the invitation, I plunged into the deep cooling water. That’s when it all kicked off, when I was no longer in control of my surroundings. They came at me from all sides, this never happened, this was my place. The fright and fear that should have been there, wasn’t, they were both replaced by pure fury, fury for what was my solitude, fury for what should have been my area of peace, of safety.
The things that came at me could no-longer be described as human, instead they looked as if each one had been created part human, part demon- Breed to be evil. It was when they were about to take a first fighting pounce, that my change took form. What could only be described as neon black light exploded from every pore of my skin, I could feel the water around me, it was parting completely from me, leaving room for my transformation, helping keep the enemies at bay. The water was protecting me, in my moment of need.
The ‘creatures’ stood back, obviously confused by my behaviour, that small action meant a lot to me, it meant they didn’t know what was happening, they weren’t as much of a threat as I thought they might have been. I felt power, more than I had ever felt, It was seeping to the surface like slime, boiling hot and yet strangely relaxing. I had never experienced anything like this before, all I was able to do so far was tiny elemental things and change my appearance, nothing I could do made me feel so much power. Though the power I now felt, well it felt… Different, wrong, it felt dangerous, I knew it had consequences.
I had lost track of the time by now, the neon darkness had now swallowed me, I had no clue of my surroundings nor of the danger I may or may not have been in. The neon block of black canvas surrounding me now had wisps of other colours, though non compared to the neon blue that danced around my figure, It was the shade of the clear blue you find at the beach.
The swirl of colour that had swallowed my existence was now starting to fade, and the sight that came to my eyes astounded me, the beast like things that had come at me, were now bowing, as if I was a god, but the fear they now showed, told me that they were not bowing out of loyalty, they were bowing to prove they were not an immediate danger. Before I knew what I was doing, I was calling the water, fire, earth, air, as I did the creatures around me were slaughtered, it was as if tentacles of each of the elements had sprung from my body, protecting me from what I knew as dangers.
I hung from the air, my toes grazing the water, the peace that know happened to be, was relaxing, that was until I looked around to see the bodies of demons, I knew these from somewhere, it felt like an old, distant memory. I pushed the thought to the back of my mind, and pushed my hand out to each of the body’s in turn, and each one bathed in flame. I had to get rid of any evidence of me being, I had to run…again…
