"Alright." Dean took a deep breath. Praying was never his thing but he did the best he could. "Hey Cas, we need your help. We have no idea what is going on, we need answers and you're all we've got. And we haven't seen you for days, what's with that?"
Everyone held their tongue, waiting for the sound of feathers, waiting for Castiel. He didn't show.
"Now what?" Sam sat in one of the squishy blue recliners that littered the flashy motel room that smelled of cheap cologne and cigarettes.
His brother started pacing, thinking of anyway to find his friends. Most angels he knew were dead, missing, or assholes, and he didn't feel like consorting with any demons. The feeling of guilt was back as he thought of Jo and Ellen and Ash. He could apologize, make amends for dragging them into his mess.
"Well until we hear from Cas, maybe you two should work this case." Bobby said, focused on the news paper in his hands.
Sam looked over Bobby's shoulder at the head line. "Seven missing, one dead completely drained of blood. Sounds like vamps to me." The younger Winchester stated, looking up at Dean.
"Piece of cake. Sam and I will wipe out this nest and Bobby, you can wait here and call us if Cas shows." Dean instructed.
"You boys better be careful and come back in one piece, and don't do anything stupid." Bobby warned, strolling to the fridge to swipe a beer.
"Careful is my middle name." Dean chuckled before him and Sammy left the motel.
The brothers had been scouting this warehouse for hours and nothing, nothing until a car pulled up and a short man exited.
"Dude." Sam sat up straight in the Impala's passenger seat. "Isn't that the Vamp from our hunt in Tulsa last week?"
Dean squinted to get a better look at the mystery person entering the warehouse. "No way. We killed him. He was dead and not just dead, he was dead dead."
"Maybe we didn't do it right." Sam said trying to cope with the strange occurrences that seem to keep happening.
"Sammy, we've been doing this practically our whole life. There isn't exactly a wrong way to cut its damn head off."
The door to the warehouse slammed shut, giving Sam and Dean the cue to move in on the nest. With the looks of trained killers, the boys kicked the door open to the warehouse, machetes ready to slice through any monsters in their way. They were greeted by only five vamps, the one from Tulsa included.
"I told you we'd be saved." The blonde girl shouted with a triumphant tone.
Two vampires charged at the Winchesters; Dean was quick to slay the puny beast, Sam, on the other hand, took a sharp punch to the jaw before decapitating the son of a bitch who hit him. Spitting blood, Sam rushed to the aid of the girls while Dean dueled with two more blood thirsty monsters.
"I can use some help Sammy." Dean groan, throwing a punch and missing only to get hit himself.
"One second." Sam replied hastily, sawing at the rope. Before he could cut the rope that bound the girls hands together, he was pulled away from the girls by the Tulsa vamp.
"Haven't I killed you before?" Sammy asked with a snarky look, dodging a punch thrown at him.
"I tend to not dwell on the past. Anyways, you of all people know death isn't always permanent." The vampire spat.
While the boys fought for their lives, the blonde tugged at the frayed rope, rubbing it quickly against the pole she was tied too. What seemed like forever finally ended when the rope snapped and she quickly rose to her feet. "Close your eyes!" She demanded as her soft hazel eyes lit up a vibrant blue. Dean and Sam did as they were told as she filled the empty warehouse with a rich blue light. The screaming of the vamps echoed in the large space, followed by a sharp ringing and then silence. Her long blonde hair with a vibrant streak of fuchsia settled, cascading down her shoulders while she let out a sigh. Where the vamps once stood, there were only piles of dust.
"You're an angel." Sam stared at the girl with a smile. He was always impressed to see the potential of the Heavenly beings.
"Nephilim actually. For an angel my mom loved everything she wasn't allowed to have, my dad included." she smiled brightly. "My names Rosalyn but sometimes people call me Amia which is my middle name." Rosalyn helped the other girl with the bindings and helped her stand as well.
"This is Mazzy, she's a great friends of my mine, she actually came her to help me but man those vamps sure got the jump on us." Rosalyn laughed with a lot of energy for someone who had just been kidnapped.
"You two hunters?" Dean asked, sheathing his machete and Sam did the same. They started towards Dean's vehicle before Rosalyn spoke again.
"More like... Whoa, sick ride, Joan used to have one just like it but she's uh..." Rosalyn's energy faded off at the mention of her friend and Mazzy spoke up.
"As Rosalyn was saying, we are hunters-in-training." Mazzy smiled, she must have been 19 with short, straight, fire engine red hair with sharp gray eyes and skin as pale as an eggshell.
Dean unlocked the car and they all climbed in, Mazzy spoke again. "We didn't exactly chose this lifestyle. I don't think any hunter really does." Mazzy continued after clicking her seat belt. "But after one demon attack and you either suffocate in religion or pick up a weapon."
"You pretty much summed it up." Sam glanced over his shoulder. "I'm Sam and this is my brother Dean." Dean gave a friendly nod into the mirror so the girls could see. "Why don't you two come back with us and we'll figure things out in the morning" Sam suggested after he checked his watch and noticed it was 11:31 p.m.
Rosalyn looked at Mazzy who gave an nod. "Sounds good." She yawned as Dean's car purred to life and cruised out of the parking-lot.
